SRM University Chennai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The curriculum is just like any other private engineering college like VIT and PES. It's not up to industry standards and most of the subjects are not needed in the industry. Real time projects and industry training is not given importance.

The placement are very good and the students studying 6th semester are eligible for placements and the placements percentage of greater than 90% the famous companies that visit our college of TATA,TCS,ZOHO,JOHN DEERE,AMAZON etc.

one of the things srm is known for and is preferred for over other tamil colleges is due to the vast placement options. last year there was 70% placement and last to last year 100% placement was recorded. you become eligible to sit for campus placements from the 7th semester. There are a range of companies that come to srm for placements including microsoft, amazon, razorpay ibm wells fargo, bank of america, natwest, hp, dell, delloite, cognizent, capgemini, tcs and mitsubishi etc. the list is bigger but these are the major companies that come. The highest average package recorded was 10 lakhs with the highest package last year being 55lakhs. most students coming to srm come with the clear intention of getting placed. i plan to sit for placements too. Since there is a high number of students in the btech degree there is very high competition too for placements.

The placements of my college is average just because the number of students is too much.From the 6-7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.As SRM is a big college many multi national companies visit the campus for placement.Average Package is near about 6-7LPA. Near about 80% students get placed which is pretty good keeping in mind the number of students.Companies which visit the campus for placements are accenture infosys tcs jp morgan chase and co. deloitte bank of america and many others.

Placements are decent when considering the intake of students. Almost all students are placed mostly in mass recruiting companies like TCS and Accenture. Placement drives start from the 7th semester..

Our college provide 95% placement on basis of statical data . From mass recruiters to marquee companies all come for placement. More than 1000 companies come every year for the placement. Our college have a separate placement cell which starts the preparation in 2nd year only for students from guiding them to taking mock interviews.

I choose a specialization course in computer science which is cyber security and for the first two years most of the courses are similar to the core students but further on you get to choose domain specific electives which push you ahead in that specific field. The curriculum is well formed and constantly updated as per the industry standards but sometimes a few subjects are more theory focused rather than being more practical. They need to focus more on practical learning of the course. Exams are held every month and are not very hard someone focusing in class could easily score good marks in the exam.

One of the curriculum which is like tge 60-40 ratio of marks..students can easily score good in the internals part and get good grades even by just passing the final semester paper..internals can be obtained easily as there will be assignments which would give easy 20 marls

The placement in our college is really good. For the starters our college provides a good placement & right time of joining etc. Google, microsoft,hindalco, mahindra,suzuki etc visited our campus .. total of 600 companies are registered in which 500 companies came for the placement. 60L is the highest package while 15L is the lowest package. Around 90% of the students gets placed by our university. I just want to get a good package & job after getting the degree.

After 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Microsoft, Ericsson and etc..,they made more than 50+ offers. Highest package: 5400000 Average package: 500000 95 percent of students will get placed by the campus itself. My plan after getting the degree is to place in a high ranking position with LPM.
