What Students Say

Likes

socialism is good as there are students from various states
the festivals for different states are performed too
we have a wide range of activities done in the college

Dislikes

the staffs may be dislike for some people as most of the are from tamil nadu
the availability of lift is too hectic and would have to wait for a prolong time
too overcrowded college while comparing to other colleges not enough facilities for that

Course Curriculum Overview

One of the curriculum which is like tge 60-40 ratio of marks..students can easily score good in the internals part and get good grades even by just passing the final semester paper..internals can be obtained easily as there will be assignments which would give easy 20 marls

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

as i'm a day scholar i didnt opt for hostel or the bus facilities available..there is a 1 lakh scholarship for students scoring or having cgpa 9 or above..there is also sports quota available in the college also..i wrote srmjee and joined the college so there is no need for management quota..if u opt for it then it may cost you lakhs

Campus Life

There is no ragging in the college..student run clubs are more than 50 available..sports has equal weightage,one of the best libraries in india..very socially diverse as we have celebration for all the festivals

Admission

The main reason i choose the college was because of the location of the college.my home is just 10 mins travel from the college and the college has a good nirf ranking of top 25 every year..so why to choose another college when u have a good one nearby

Faculty

The student staff rapo will be good if u gell with them or else you are done..we have 60-40 ratio as for the marks as 40 for the semester weightage..we have 3 cts per sem and 8 sem in total and each sem has an end sem exams

Night Life

The night life will be good if you are not a hostel guy..as there is entry time for the boys and girls too..there are plenty of good options near by college..all types of cuisine are available near the college and many popular food spots are available..also there is a food court available nearby

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

People become eligible for placements in 3rd year itself And a large number of companies visit the campus for placements offering a greater and a good package for those deserving The college offers a total 100 percent placement My plan is to get a degree and getting placed and taking an experience before my higher studies which i would think to be MBA FROM a good institute Companies visited are De Shaw,amazon,microsoft etc 6th semester students are prepared for placements and are guided accordingly

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
