hostel, mess, laboratory and other simulator facilities
social interaction with seniors and other course mates

Dislikes

sometimes the mess food quality was trash

Faculty:

teacher to student ratio would probably be 1:15 and they were very friendly and approachable. our maths teach miss shoba ma'am is the best because of her nature. and least liked would be our HOD because he was strict. there were 2 monthly exams before semester exams and they were pretty average because everything was from course related and one can easily solve .

Likes

Fest were celebrated by our college. Faculties were very helpful for me at the time of examination
Sport supporr so very much, as for me they teach me how to be a professional badminton player

Dislikes

Hostel food and mess cleanliness was poor in my opinion.
As compare to girl, placement opportunities for boys was poor.

Faculty:

At the time of examination as well as at the academic periods faculties was very helpful. Most of the faculties are very experienced in this field so as they give as more and much useful information. Captain Kishore sir was so adorable in his teaching. Whatever doubt there was he would help everyone. They will conduct internal for our semester exam preparation which was to be needed to everyone to get higher marks and progress.

Life that I lived in HIMT was good.

Likes

The amenities in the college is good and more.
Good placement records has been shown here

Dislikes

Here timing is too strict here like sharp

Faculty:

Faculty to student ratio is good enoda to take care of the student educations along the practical sessions and the we have 3 exams in the total 4 month duration. All the faculty are good enough so there is no way to not like them.

Hostels and mess are well maintained and hygiene
Academic buildings are well air conditioned

Faculty:

Faculties are well trained and professional in their respective. The bond between techer and students are quite good. The exam are held per semester wise. And the passing rate of students are very good.

Overview of Indian Maritime University Chennai Campus

There are different messes for veg and non veg
Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus

Dislikes

The teachers faculty is not that appreciable.
There is no proper dress code other than classes time

Faculty:

Faculty members in this college is not so good.. 50% faculty is good and rest 50% don't have experience of teaching and they don't know the ways of teaching. Ratio is 1:50 . Faculty of computer science and physics because they are experienced and they know methods of teaching. Where as Maths teacher don't have experience of teaching . Exam are conducted only once in a term of 100 marks 70 Theory and 30 practical

In our college we have the top marine faculty and many of them are chief engineer who have work experience above 10 to 15 years in shipping industry. For examination point of view we have nearly 6 theory subjects and 4 practical for end semister examination and the paper will go to board of council imu for correction of the paper and passing marks are 50 percent

Everything is good but the main advantage is you have a lot of free time to invest your time into your dreams

Dislikes

No one cares about the students academic stuff

Faculty:

The cource which I have taken is CSE and yeah they assign marks according your subjective performance and behavior in class, and the labs in the first year which include 30 marks for each subject and subjective 70marks

Faculty at Hindustan institute of maritime training is very well experienced they have the experience of working on board which helps to cadets to better understanding of concepts in therotical and practical classes

The Best College for ETO Course In South India

Likes

The college provides good atmosphere for studies, practicals
The infrastructure and Overall facilities are excellent

Dislikes

No leniency for leaves and limited holidays

Faculty:

For my Course there are 40 students and there is 1 faculty for theoreticals and for practicals there is an instructor per 8 students.The faculties are good and the way of teaching is such a way that the whole curriculum is understable to each and every student.The course has 3 exams 1 oral exam and a project Presentation

Best pre placement training, faculties are really supporting us to be placed
Best lab facilities including virtual reality and other stimulations

Faculty:

In himt we have 40:1 of faculty for theory hours and 8:1 for practical hours, the faculties here are really supporting us to get placed.They shape us to a good mariner which is best for a shipping company and many are being placed.
