The admissions to both UG & PG courses are merit-based. Interested candidates need to perform in the online test conducted by the institute. You should have scored more than 60% in PCM and aggregate 50% in PCM (each subject) and your age should not be less than 17 and more than 21. Reservation benefits will totally depends on the college.

Eligibility criteria at SIMS include:- . The minimum aggregate in 12th is 60% . The minimum marks in physics and maths are 50% . Rank holder in IMU CET, in the qualified list . Get good aggregate in SIMS Entrance exam and interview

The eligibility for the Btech course was very simple. We just needed 60% marks in Physics and Maths in our 12th standard. The application form can be found at the college's official website and it should be properly filled. The application fee is 500 rupees and then we get a date for our entrance exams. There are no reserved seats for students here as the admission is purely based on merit. The improvement that I wish to see in the admission process is that the written exam should be taken a little more difficult than the normal expectations. Further, the psychometric test should also be taken seriously.

imu.com is the website where you can find all the latest update about colleges cources and applications. The dates should be kept in mind in order to apply as soon as a form opens on the website. No reservation benifits, as it is a international cource.

I gave IMUCET it's the govt exam for govt colleges regarding this field ( merchant Navy ) there is reservation so as being general category I didn't get admission there gave college exam of SIMS and then interview and got selected, it was a smooth experience nothing complicated. The cut-off I don't remember this exactly now as I have passed out, everything regarding the admission process is on their site and on Google as well so no issues.

In our field u have to be updated all the time wherever u get changes to syllabus the college will provide u the book which u have been necessary for the course at that time. And yes u will be provided by new books and copies from college only every semesters. As it was added in fees only. They will provide u each and every thing which will be needed inside campus. About Faculties- Good to interact and helpful at every point. Great knowledge could be gather from there experiences as a mariner and as they been through. Having a great teaching ability, and help individuals to the student if they are in any problems in academic.

The first two semesters that is pre-sea teaching method is purely residential. In the semester 3,4,5 and 6 which is of a minimum 18-month duration teaching method is distance learning. The curriculum is designed so that we give more emphasis on practical work.

You need to provide your Transfer certificate mandatorily to get admission to UG course and you need to reach out to your 12th school for the same. Else, you can also provide digilocker documents.

Admission to all the courses is conducted on the basis of merit in the online entrance test. For BTech and DNS programs, candidates are also required to clear IMU-CET.
