About IMI
The International Maritime Institute, established in 1991 is a private marine engineering college. The vision of the institute is to serve as an effective liaison of the maritime industry. It is the only maritime institute in North India offering B.Tech program affiliated to IMU, Chennai. Presently, IMI Greater Noida is running Pre Sea courses like Diploma in Nautical Science, B.Tech in Marine Engineering & Graduate Mechanical Engineering. Some Post sea and value-added courses are also available.

IMI Greater Noida Admissions
Candidates seeking admission need to apply online through the official website. The admission criteria for the courses are different from each other
- B.Tech: For B.Tech admission, seats are allotted based on the candidate’s merit in IMU-CET Exam. Selected candidates need to appear for counselling
- B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Candidates seeking admission have to appear in Pre Screening Test (PST) & Interview conducted by the Institute. Those who are selected will undergo a medical test by the Directorate General of Shipping approved doctors.
- DNS: For admission to Diploma in Nautical Science, candidates need to quality OPEN-NET exam conducted by IMI
- GME: Admission is granted based on a candidate’s performance in Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning, and Psychometric tests. Selected candidates also have to appear in an interview

Ans. The student must have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) with more than 60% aggregate. Students also need to have a good IMU CET rank and have to clear the written test and interview by the company.
Ques. Does the institute offer a preparatory course for the IMU CET exam?
Ans. Yes, both regular and crash courses are offered for the students to help them prepare for the IMU CET exam. The regular course is for 2 months for a fee of Rs. 50,000 and the crash course is for one month for a fee of Rs. 30,000.

- Mess management was not upto the mark... Many a time they got late in providing food at time

Application form is available on the college official website which is of 2000? but it is included in fee once you take admission..Exam was objective type and the difficulty level was moderate. Earlier it was in offine mode but now they have gone online

The IMUCET exam stands for Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of maritime studies. It is conducted by the Indian Maritime University.The cutoff for the IMUCET exam varies each year and depends on factors such as the number of applicants and the difficulty level of the exam. It is usually determined based on the highest scores achieved by the applicants. No reservations

Admission:
To get admission Appeared in IMU CET, and secured a rank. Applied to the college from its website. They contacted me for basics and a minor Clarence exam. Then informed about the examination and told to submit documents for verification. Then submitted the documents physically. Was informed about the upcoming session. Reached college 1 day before the beginning of the session with parents(some document signature). College life begins.
Admission:
First of all, I have applied to IMI, which cost me Rs1000 as a registration fee. Then as per marks in 12th and their entrance exam they refer to some company where again I have to register and give test for sponsorship. Eligible: at least 65% in PCM in 12th and age more than 17 years 6 months.

I took admission on this college because I wanted to pursue a career in the merchant navy by getting a bachelor's degree in marine engineering. This institute is the only campus I found in north India. I preferred this college due to its good faculty and placement. Other colleges teaching similar course doesn't have good placement record. I got the above information through my seniors and from the sites of DG shipping of India, and the IMU website.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is up to date We have one of the best faculties in my college We have various camps and fests too which give us enough industrial exposure too. In our course practical work is more important than the theory part. So we have various labs for that too
