B.E	Candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in physics, chemistry & maths. Valid scores in AMET CET.
B.Tech	Candidate must have passed in 10 +2 with 50% in mathematics mandatory or computer science with mathematics. Valid scores in AMET CET.
MBA	Candidate must have passed graduation with 50% marks. CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / JMET / TANCET scores will be accepted. If a candidate has not taken any of the above tests, then they need to appear for AMET CET followed by personal interview / group discussion.
M.E	Candidate must have passed graduation. Valid scores in AMET CET, followed by a personal interview
B.Sc. (Hons.)	Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent Level of Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) from any recognised board and have secured good grades with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to join the B.Sc. (Hons).

Placement Opportunities and Success Rate at AMET University

After admission it self the students are eligible for placement opportunity and there is lot of company nearly more than 60 company and they are giving package from 8 lakh per annum to max.the percent of students got placed is nearly 90 and my plan to become chief engineer and make money

Actually in Amet University is main known for there placement and decipline The fees of 2nd year of be Marine is 3.1 lakh per year and we can pay in three terms and for upcoming first it has been increased. For tution fees they charging 25000rs . They provide all kinds of scholarship like first graduate, single parent, janakiraman scholarship, girl child, etc.

Student view on course curriculum

The specific aspects of curriculum influenced is they are teaching step by step, semester after semester, very nicely and it is helpful for real world applications and the thing to improve in teaching is to do more partical work. the frequency and timing is 3 hours and the difficulty level is medium only all can able to get good marks

Internship Opportunities and Final Year Projects for B.E. Marine Students

The companies like bp and giving placement along with stipend and there is lot of companies coming in our college to give placement and good packages and even I got placed in vships and we requesting our company to get stipend. The projects will be done in final year and the is lot of tasks given in ship in campus like to assemble the parts.of engine

College fest and various activities

There are lots of festivals program are conducted like onam - August , Pongal- January ,diwali- November , etc. all kinds of books are available in library and there is separate building for that with two floor. The facility like smart board, projector , laptop etc are there in class room. All kinds of sports activities are there and sports day will be conducted yearly.and nearly more than 40 clubs are there

What are the hostel facilities like at AMET University, and how is the food quality?

The facility provided in hostel room is there is a separate cot and cupboard for each person and bunk fan should be provided. And four tables are provided and the food was slightly not good but its ok and the registration process is combined during admission process itself

Faculty and Teaching Experience at AMET University

The most faculty of amet university is good and nice with eachother and good teaching and the faculty whose name is Ramesh Krishnan was the one who teaches very well and he can able make students understand very well and the faculty who didn't like is Sundar sir he some often time only he will come and won't understand and there are lots of exam for us like unit test, cat exam, model exam, practical exam, and semester exam as well

No I didn't applied for any other colleges because this is course that I want to do in this college because this college gives placement before joining the college and I got placed in vships so that the reason.the admission process is simple first contact our college admission department they will guide you very nicely and there is entrance exam for this college for dgs courses called imucet need to clear the exam and should be medically fit

AMET University Maritime Training Trust Scholarship for Female Cadets

Maritime Training Trust (MTT) of the Directorate General of Shipping, (Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India) offers INR 1,00,000 Per Annum as monetary support to all Woman Seafarers who are undergoing pre-sea courses in the DGS-approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs).

AMET University Shree Janakiraman Scholarship

AMET University Shree Janakiraman Scholarship is offered to provide financial assistance by offering less fee allowance to students belonging to economically backward and unsophisticated families who are unable to bear the cost of the regular fee charged by the university.

To utilize the benefits from AMET University Shree Janakiraman Scholarship, the request has to be submitted to Vice Chancellor for consideration.
Furthermore, the application is presented to the committee for approval and sanction of the eligible amount after being evaluated and analyzed.
The candidate’s family's annual income should not exceed INR 2,00,000.

AMET University Meritorious Student Scholarship

AMET University Meritorious Student Scholarship honors meritorious learners who have scored above 90% marks in their Higher Secondary Education.

A concession of 15% on the tuition fee is bestowed to the Qualified Students.

AMET University First Graduate Fees Concession

AMET University First Graduate Fees Concession is presented to the eligible students at the time of admission.

To gain full aid, submission of the joint declaration by both parents and candidate along with a “No graduate Certificate” issued by the Revenue Authority is mandatory.
The candidate’s family's annual income should not exceed INR 2,00,000.
The university is presenting a 15% of concession on the Tuition Fee for the first year.

All facilities as per the rules and discipline

Dislikes

You have to follow every rule and regulations regarding college
Nothing to dislikes but if you do anything disciplinary action. Its harms you

I cleared imucet but due to low rank i didn't get any top most college but amet was there who gives opportunity to all the cadets depends upon there characters and thaughts This is the best way i like about amet university

Nice environment, Student support system, living in a whole different world.

Likes

The infrastructure is very good for a student and how they should be treated around it.
Since the social circle is very big in the college because people will be joining in from different parts of the country, the college will for sure be attractive.

Dislikes

Weather would be a factor which will trouble a bit for very specific people who come from a certain environment.

Admission:

I applied to a few colleges like Anna University and SRM but got confirmed admission only at AMET University. I chose AMET because of its strong focus on maritime studies and practical training, which other colleges lacked. I faced rejection elsewhere mainly due to lower entrance exam scores. AMET’s admission process requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and accepts scores from TNEA and other engineering entrance exams, with TNEA being the most preferred. Cutoffs vary yearly but are reasonable. Overall, the admission process was smooth and transparent, making it a good experience for me.

I have chosen this college because of an existing student who recommended me since this has Specialised in Shipping and this is the only college with that in my locality and since am a COVID Batch the admission was Easy

Me and my college experience.

Likes

The college is well and fine with outer exposure and gaining knowledge from industrial visits. This provides a leadership quality and self esteem
The classroom is nicely furnished and equipped for the students.

Dislikes

The classroom consist of Ac but the Ac is not working, it is not easy to sit in the classroom in this hot summer. Need tech classes, more projector

Admission:

I selected this college as it is very reputed and having a goodwill all around the arena. No I didn't got any rejection as I didn't applied anywhere else. They asked for an advance payment amount of rs 25000 then they asked to pay hostel fees of 50000, then asked to pay the rest of the amount of the course fees.

Structured comfort and seafaring discipline.

Admission:

First off all, i didn't apply to any other colleges, then for addmission, they took very long to intimate the dates, again and again I was calling one of the faculty and was asking for dates. Management is responsible for providing information.to the students. While admission, first they asked to pay an advance amount of rs. 25000/- from the course fees i.e rs. 300000/- to confirm my seat. Then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs. 40000/- which was not available then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs 50000/- to confirm the hostel. Later they called for college and certificates verification happened. Later I paid rs. 75000/- as my 1st semester college fees. Then my classes went on well.

I prefer this college this college will be the best for shipping and logistics management in all obver the tamilnadu , I applied on this ncollege and I got the seat.
