Course Curriculum Overview

Our course is very important in today's generation and the highest placement has been from our branch for 2 consecutive years that is from microsoft and the faculty is friendly and professional. The curriculum asks us to do the projects for the respective subjects at the end of the semester where our understanding can be known. Regularly programming assessments are conducted to imprve students skills.

Faculty

The faculty student relationship is very nice and the faculty are very approachable and they provide academic insights to the students. The exam system consists of 2 mids, internals and externals for labs and semester exam. Totally the examination is for 100 where 60 marks from semester exams and 40 from internals and mids, according to the r23 regulation.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted this course because I was very eager about cyber security and the vast career options that it has . the curriculum that we have is updated to meet our understanding levels . We have labs which gives us a hands on experience on what we read in your class rooms . The suggestions that I can give to improve is that the quantity of equipments in the lab can be increased . The exams are not so difficult with the help of faculty we can easily score good marks

Placement Experience

The campus placements of the college are very well . Every student studing here will leave the college with a job of a decent package . We are elligible for campus placements for jobs from 6th semester and when it comes to internships they allow us to get them from 4th semester itself . companies like microsoft , lumen , accenture , cognizent , juspay , Jp morgan , zscaler , amadeus will come to your college .I plan to do the job after getting the degree

Faculty

Here faculty to student relationship depends on you if you are a good student then your faculty to student relationship is good another than is bad if you attend daily classes and active in class then teachers will support you... I am not mentioned the faculty name but they are some facilities are very good and supportive in nature. There are in every sem take 3 test and the last semester final exam the level of exam is average 95% portion will come from your class notes

Placement Experience

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is pretty good they have introduced new programming language to us in every semester and made us familiar with them also the syllabus is modified and it really do give a insight about real life challenges they also have added a ess subject to make us ready for placement those who are serious will learn those who are not will not. What I think can be improved is the faculty knowledge the course syllabus is amazing but if we are taught correctly not just to pass exam it will really be helpful. The exams aren't that hard but it many times differs according to the teachers who set the paper up.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is pretty much balanced and faculty is helpful even outside the class. There are some gems who really teach and there are some who themselves don't know what they are doing so it's basically your luck who you got. The exams are as in every engineering college every semester consists of 2 mid terms and one end terms along with it we have assignments and class tests which aren't that big of a load we have learnt to live with these.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm very much interested in cyber related things such as hacking, firewalls etc. I wanted to be the one who creates strong security and firewall to protect confidential things which are beneficial to the indian government. They teach all the coding languages and teaches to build firewalls and security software. If unrelated courses such as modern physics are not included in the course, it would be a real help not wasting time on studying it. Midterms happen within 1.5 months of the semester beginning and regular class tests for internals happen, in another 1.5 months end semester takes place tightly packed with lab eveluation. The exams are pretty tough.

Fees and Financial Aid

currently I'm paying 400000rs yearly for tuition fee alone for the scholarship slab 3. Initially i was paying 290000rs for tuition fee, when i was in scholarship slab 2. Due to inconsistency of cgpa i was moved from scholarship slab 2 to 3. The college management has a set of rules for scholarship holders to withhold. That is scholarship 1 students need to hold a cgpa of 8.0 and scholarship 2 students to hold a cgpa of 7.5. Other than this, students are required to pay the hostel fees and mess fees which include the evening tea and coffee with some snacks. No fees change for categorys based on caste.

Campus Life

The campus life in our college is great actually with a positive student and teacher interaction, with great social aspects. Our college promotes social activities and club activities like NSS, YRC, IEEE, IEDC, CSI, TinkerHub and many more, where all student can involve. Current infrastructure is a bit lagging for sure but it is going to change soon as each and every department is currently doing renovations. The annual festivals in our college include Obsqura, Sports festival, Ethnic festivals, and Extracurricular activities day. We've got a large area of book to refer and a Lab for library to do research on papers. Currently, more than 70% of our college is having smart classrooms including mine. There is an etlab.icet.in portal for students.

Faculty

The faculties in our college are student-friendly easy-to-approach and helps clear our doubts. The faculty-to-student ratio at the college is 1:30. The faculty I like are Dr. Jinu Mohan, HOD Dr.Rosna P Haroon, Asst. Prof. Haseena M K; I personally like them cause even though they are at high position at our college. The help us whenever we need them. There is no faculties, that I should be disliking as they are that much close to us on thick and thin. There are 2 series exams and 1 semester exams which to me is average. And the pass percentage is 80% and this mark carries 1/3rd weight in main semester exams.

And as matter of fact, it is increasing year by year now I believe it has been increased to 2 lakh 10 thousand. All the fees included into that. At the time of registration you have to deposit caution money of around 20k and from which 5k is refunded after you complete your graduation. There are many criteria to avail scholarship like through sports, first come more scholarship you get from your 12th marks, army scholarships, etc. All these things in detail are also mentioned in their brochure.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1 on to the 50-60 students but the relationships between the faculties and students are really great like very approachable and understanding faculties(90%). Faculties like in FCE dept. Sakshi Sharma, Nikhil Kumar Goyal,Monika Dandotiya, Pratish Rawat, Firdos Sheikh, Anamika, all english teachers. Like I have told most of them, why? Because they will become your friends and help you, support you, guide you throught your btech journey. Exams difficulty is medium till end sem. End sem difficulty is hard to crack. End sem back ratio is really high every year.

Campus Life

the campus life is very nice and good environment. the fests and cultural programs will be conducted for every big festiavls... recently from my 1st year onwards we experienced some fests like AMMARA 2.O, TECHASTRA, RAIN 2K25, and more.. there are two libraries for students. one is digital library which having the internet access and the computers to study. and other one is normal library, in that library we can access a lot of books. every department books are available in that library. extracurriclar activities likes sports and other activities like some programs are coonducted. there are some clubs like SPREAD, IEI club, and some other clubs which can improve the skills for the students. mostlyy the seniors of the college are running these groups and clubs...

Fees and Financial Aid

In this college, the fees difference is there for the other groups. As per the cyber security, the annual tuition fees is 150000/- . And scholarship based programs are also done here. As per the 12th marks the scholarship is provided. Admission is quite simple and easy. For every semester we have to pay the examination fee that will depend on the branch. Fees may differ for other branches like for AI&ML they get slight difference of 5000 or may be more, but the way of teaching and the staff behaviour is very good. The admissions are also taken by merit based and the management seat quota also available.

Faculty

Faculties are pretty approachable and are friendly too, some are strict but are pretty good at teaching concepts. Even if someone doesn't like a faculty the students can complain to the deans and those complains are taken very seriously. Our class coordinator, Dr. Aman Jatain mam is a really good teacher and very friendly. Faculties are good overall, for a faculty which I didn't really liked would be life skills because I didn't really liked the subject overall. Exams are totally based on how attentive we were in the classes as they are totally based on the topics studied. Easy if we know the topics well, Obv hard if we don't know anything

Internships Opportunities

During the summer internship, we were asked to do a mandatory internship or a global certification course right after the first year, although it's not easy to get an internship right after the first year in a college but our college was indeed providing on campus internship which I think was of pretty good value as it was directly affiliated with college and I don't know too much in that coz I did a global certification for myself but I heard they were pretty good.

My overall experiencewith my campus life was very interesting, joyful Full of learning new skills and technology. Classrooms and computer labs are well equipped with wifi, smart board etc. Campus also supports sports facilities in my College have 4 to 5 lage park and good sitting area , A cricket ground, volleyball court , and basketball court, and other indoor badminton court.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum as moderate relevant and reasonable comprehensive . The topics like Data structures and programming languages, and Cybersecurity gave me confidence. The curriculum does a decent jobs, especially in lateral semesters where project work and interships are encouraged.

Rang Ratri which is Navratri festival and then our college also organised open stage and everybody was allowed to take part in that. We also have a main fest called Navya. Our campus is huge and hostels too are divided into two clusters. For new comers and one for students who finish their two years at the campus.

Placement Experience

Course started just a few years back and therefore the substrata for the placement is low. However cybersecurity is in demand and building such software contracts are inked daily. So future is bright of Indian tech companies and students who are pursuing it.

Faculty

The faculty at SVIT were overall supportive especially guiding students through projects and certification . The course structure was balanced between core and specialization topics in cyber security .The exam and marking system was fair and followed the standard JNTU pattern. While theory was given importance, there’s still room to add more practical training and industry-based projects.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum at SVIT for CSE (Cyber Security) as well-structured and moderately industry-relevant, with a balanced mix of core computer science and cybersecurity subjects. To make it excellent, it should include more project-based learning, internships, and hands-on labs with real-world tools used by cybersecurity professionals. Over all rating : 7.5 / 10

Faculty

Faculty is provided for the course is good . There are 4-5 faculty for each course . All faculty are advanced and they teach us in easy and understandable way. The classes for the course will be starting from the first year itself . They will be teaching every subject in the course and will be preparing us for the placement for the starting year itself. We have 4 mids and 2 sem for every year. The pattern is 60 percent for internal and 40 for the external. The faculty will provide important questions for the exam by making us easier to pass the examination.

Placement Experience

I say placement is good in our course . Where our hold is bringing different companies for placement. The new thing that our hod did is not depending on percentage , he is conducting entrace exam and giving equal opportunity for all the students. The highest package is 22 lakhs and the minimum is 7-8 lakhs. My plans if get a job I will Go for the job or else our college is providing studies in aboard by providing scholarships .

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is like 1 to 70. Majority of the faculty being very friendly but some of them very rude and cruel ..being abusive on the students. as a first year liked faculties like Arpita Majumder and Ranjan Dutta for their immense support and upliftment nature. Just hated faculties like debyaduti and Indranil dey assistant prof. In the electrical department is very abusive and very biased towards the girls. Exams are 3 internal exams and end sem exams.. moderate .. very few fail to clear the exam. Course curriculum is not relevant in the first year

Campus Life

Tech workshop and events happen every month and often.. but a huge lack of cultural events and even fests ..no freshers is given in the college which is very disappointment for the freshers . Sports facilities are not very promising. Students run societies and clubs are there and they do a good job by organising several events across the calendar.

Ques. How is IIIT Vadodara for a Btech in CSE/IT?

● Top Answer By Priyansh Kumar on 16 Mar 23

Ans. If you have a choice between IIIT Vadodara and any other well-established NIT or IIIT for a Btech in CSE/IT, you should go for the latter as IIIT Vadodara lacks proper infrastructure and resources. However, studying B.tech in CSE at IIIT Vadodara is a rigorous course that offers different course content from other colleges, making students good engineers. The professors put in equal amounts of hard work to deliver their content in a professional manner, and there are ample resources available online for students.  IIIT Vadodara is a good option as it provides exposure to both theory and industrial practice, and the institute has improved immensely. The placements are also getting better, with tech giants recognizing IIIT Vadodara and aiding in projects through developer student clubs and Mozilla student clubRead more

Ans. Yes, you can get IEM Kolkata with a rank of 6k. In 2021, the closing cutoff for the IT branch was 2483-8457.  IEM Kolkata is an average college. The academics and facilities offered aren’t good for IT. Alumni of the institute who are well-established in the IT sector received the opportunities based on their talent and expertise. Ans. According to my experience as a former CSE student at KIET, choosing KIET over JSS Noida will be no doubt a good choice. You’ll also get the best infrastructure and faculty in the CSE branch.  There are considerably more opportunities here to do something unique in your field. I have seen my seniors getting placed at reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Accenture, and Infosys, to name just a few. Just last year, i.e. 2023, the highest package that they secured was INR 48.89 LPA. Moreover, about 93.98% of my seniors were successfully placed. Read more

Ques. Which one is better: IT in IIIT Allahabad or CSE in BITS Goa?

● Top Answer By Muktesh Shukla on 21 Mar 23

Ans. The IT degree at IIIT Allahabad is considered one of the best in India, and it is aligned with the CSE curriculum from the best IITs and NITs in India. The professors are a mixed bag, with some highly qualified, doing good research, and teaching well, while some may be uninteresting. However, with some self-motivation, the academic landscape is quite good.  IIIT Allahabad has a great culture for programming, which can help you become a serious developer. The infrastructure is good, the campus is green, and the architecture is impressive, with the added benefit of being centrally air-conditioned. On the downside, the city life in Allahabad is not great, especially if you come from a metro city. You may experience a cultural shock. The research environment is not exceptional, and there are only a handful of students aspiring to pursue higher education. You will find yourself in a batch of more than 200 students, in which you have to create your own identity. The weather is terrible, with extremely hot summers and cold winters (although some people may like the winters). The sports infrastructure is not the most amazing one. In summary, here's the verdict: If you're interested in research and want to pursue technical education further in your career, BITS Goa may be the right choice for you. If you want a great Indian IT job after your degree, IIIT Allahabad may be the right choice for you. If you're looking for a better peer group, better girls, and a more happening city life, BITS Goa may be the right choice for you. If you're serious about programming and have a penchant for Competitive Programming, IIIT Allahabad may be the right choice for you.Read more

Ques. Should I go to LPU (Lovely Professional University) or Manipal University Jaipur for a B.Tech (IT)?

● Top Answer By Tushar Kathuria on 04 May 24

Ans. As a former student of B.Tech IT at LPU, I can only provide information about my own college. Here are a few benefits of joining LPU for your B.Tech IT- Scholarships -  LPU offers scholarships to those who perform well in 12th grade or various entrance exams. These scholarships continue for the entire B.Tech course. This brings down the course fee for meritorious students by a great extent.  Placements-  The university performs quite well in IT placements. Companies like HTC and Cognizant visit the campus for mass recruitments, and offer decent salary packages to CSE and IT graduates. Other companies recruit a lesser number of students, but they offer handsome salary packages. For a hardworking IT student, LPU offers good placement opportunities. Faculty-  The IT faculty is decent, and some of the teachers are very good. Exposure-  LPU is home to students from various parts of the country, and thus, it offers excellent exposure. Each student gets a platform at LPU to enhance their skills and learn new things. These are some of the many reasons I chose LPU for my B.Tech IT. Read more

Ques. How many marks are required to get an admission in NIT Warangal CSE, IT or in the electronics branch?

● Top Answer By Shivani Singh on 19 Aug 23

Ans. To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.  These are the closing ranks for round 6 of JoSAA counseling to get admission into these branches at NIT Warangal, for 2023: Course Quota  Seat-Type Gender Closing Rank CSE HS Open Gender-neutral 3115 CSE OS Open Gender-neutral 2413 ECE HS Open Gender-neutral 6516 ECE OS Open Gender-neutral 5814 ECE (VLSI) HS Open Gender-neutral 7103 ECE (VLSI) OS Open Gender-neutral 7047 EEE HS Open Gender-neutral 11388 EEE OS Open Gender-neutral 9265 Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW However, I would like to tell highlight a few things- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.  The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated. Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.  Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.  The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.  Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality. They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration. Read more

Ques. Which is the better option; doing computer engineering at SVNIT-Surat, Gujarat or b.tech in ict at DA-IICT Gandhinagar, Gujarat?

● Top Answer By Jatin Shaha on 03 Jan 24

Ans. I am a resident of Surat, and SVNIT is very close to my house. During my college admissions, I was in the same dilemma. So I spent about a week at both the colleges to make a more informed choice. One of the professors at SVNIT suggested that I opt for B.Tech ICT at DAIICT over Computer Engineering at SVNIT. He told me that DAIICT is a better option for computer related branches. Here are some pros of joining DAIICT as a B.Tech ICT student- The placements at DAIICT are comparatively better. Though the NITs have an established brand name, the reputation of DAIICT is better than SVNIT in top companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, MAQ, etc. It has a greater number of GSoC qualifiers, and a better environment for Open Source Coding. The environment is superior for competitive coding as well, and students participate in great numbers in online programming contests on platforms like codeforces, etc. A large number of students prepare for exams like GRE, CAT, etc. Thus, a B.Tech ICT at DAIICT is better in comparison to Computer Engineering at SVNIT.Read more
