Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I have to pursue this, upon admission counselling they were forcing me to pursue AIDS(artificial intelligence and data science ) course but I refused. Because curriculum is also good. Curriculum is not that specific you will learn in 4th year which you should have learnt in your 2nd year but all college curriculum are almost same. Curriculum prepares me about 30-40% for real life scenarios and job. Odd sem is generally concluded fast than even sem.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th sem companies start to hire you. And from 7th sem they will come for hiring. Companies visited approx 200-300 every year but placements are low or on low packages in PU. But off campus is also high in PU. Recently off campus record goes to 1.5 CR from Palo Alto, this year in my batch. About 40% students get placed. My plan is to start my own startup or go with higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I joined the total fees for only education part is 1 lakh 60 thousand for specialization. And as matter of fact, it is increasing year by year now I believe it has been increased to 2 lakh 10 thousand. All the fees included into that. At the time of registration you have to deposit caution money of around 20k and from which 5k is refunded after you complete your graduation. There are many criteria to avail scholarship like through sports, first come more scholarship you get from your 12th marks, army scholarships, etc. All these things in detail are also mentioned in their brochure.

Campus Life

5

Fests are like a lifeline for students in our college and they have been organized on every 2-3 months. The main cultural fest happens which is the best and happens every year. Sports and extracurricular are also happens often.

Admission

First thing why I choose this college over others is they provide max scholarships of upto 90%. Second they are affordable. Third thing, they are worth it in terms of all things. Admission process is simple, same process as others, counselling and all. The better you perform previous before your admission counselling the more you have chances to get admission and scholarship.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is 1 on to the 50-60 students but the relationships between the faculties and students are really great like very approachable and understanding faculties(90%). Faculties like in FCE dept. Sakshi Sharma, Nikhil Kumar Goyal,Monika Dandotiya, Pratish Rawat, Firdos Sheikh, Anamika, all english teachers. Like I have told most of them, why? Because they will become your friends and help you, support you, guide you throught your btech journey. Exams difficulty is medium till end sem. End sem difficulty is hard to crack. End sem back ratio is really high every year.

Night Life

4

Students really enjoy gym, cafes, library, etc specially gardens and CP. Hostel and campus timings are 9am to 10pm ; 9am to 3pm. Outside university are cafe and diary and inside, cafeteria and central park.

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
