JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), Jaipur, was established in 2011 by the J.K. Organisation (JKO), a prominent business group in India. It is a private university that holds an ‘A’ grade accreditation from NAAC. JKLU's Ranking by India Today was 92 out of 284 engineering colleges in India in 2024.

JKLU offers BTech as its flagship course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects. The final selection will be based on the JEE Main scores, or JKLU EET scores, followed by an interaction with faculty and past academic records. JKLU provides UG Courses such as B.Tech., BCA, BBA, B.Des., and PG courses such as MBA, M.Des., M.Tech., and Ph.D. programs in all disciplines. JKLU Admission Process 2025

The candidate has to follow simple steps in order to apply online. Registration for all the UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses starts in January.

Application and Admission process: Students can complete the admission process, starting from the completion of the Application to appearing for the Entrance Tests, followed by Personal Counselling Interaction Round (PCI) & Portfolio Round (PR) for Design aspirants, and uploading of documents, through both online and offline modes. Candidates opting for the online mode of application need to visit the University's website and are required to fill up an application form and make the fee payment of INR 1000/- through Net banking/ Debit card or Credit card.

Proctored Test/ Interaction Round from Home: JK Lakshmipat University has also initiated to remotely conduct the proctored entrance tests online, along with remote video interaction rounds for admissions to design courses only.

JKLU Scholarships

JKLU has a very distinctive scholarship program to encourage students. Merit-based scholarships are awarded to students based on their academic performance in specified subjects of their 10+2 marks. Apart from merit scholarships, the different scholarships offered to the students are listed below:

Exceptional Performance in Extracurricular and Co-curricular Activities: If the applicant shows outstanding achievements in sports (for example, representing the country in a representative sport), in the Olympics (reaching the training camp), or in another field, a special committee evaluates the application and recommends additional scholarships to the eligible student.
Women Scholarships: All women students will receive a scholarship of 10% of the academic fee if they are ineligible for any of the other mentioned scholarships.
Special Category Scholarships: Candidates falling under the below-mentioned category are eligible to receive Special Category Scholarships

Firstly I like the most about the college is its semester exchange program with IITs,IIITs,BITS and many university in foreign.The students who maintain a good CGPA and clear the interview round also get opportunity to study in these institutions
Secondly I like about the college is the study culture and the faculty interaction. Most of facilities are studied from IITs or from foreign countries. There is a good ratio of student and faculty interaction. There is a very good culture for study

Dislikes

First thing I dislike about the college is about its extra curricular activities. There are extra curricular activities happening but they mainly focus on studies not so focused on any other activities.
Secondly I dislike about the college is its campus area which is about only 30 acres

Student view on course curriculum and teaching methods

I would say tha the course is very relevant. My aspect for choosing B. TECH in Computer science is its demand in the industry and to develop my interest in computer applications and its working.The salary offered in Computer Science is the most as compared to the other branches. The curriculum prepares us for the latest industry needs and teaches us about what is running in the market and what skills we should learn to get a good package. I would suggest improving in the subjects as I have taken Computer Science and Engineering so they should mainly focus on the computer applications and their running rather than other subjects. Teaching methods can be improved by doing regular practicals. The frequency and timing of the exam is good. The difficulty levels of the exam day by day increase as we move further in our studies.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

The college provides a good internship opportunity to the students as they send students to different companies for internships in a paid basis they also send some students to foreign countries for internships.

Top company recruiting from the campus and average package

For campus placement you are eligible in your 8th semester. The company visits the college befor the end term exams. Name of the Company visited are - TCS , Infosys, Essar,IBM,EXL,JK group and many other companies and the total number of offers maid are about 60 offers were maid The highest offer was made of 22.5 LPA by the company Highway 9 networks and the average package stood about 6.7 LPA. About 80% of the students are placed in the on campus placements My plans after getting an degree is to do a good job for 3-4 years and learn about the market and learn about how the industry works and after that to start a start-up.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

-The year wise fees I will be paying is 239000 - Tution fees - 260000 Caution fees - 10000 Admission fees - 5000 No development fees and lab fees are taken These are the charges specified - Fees structure for all the categories are same - There are different scholarships offered on upon your JEE score , 12th score and your CUET score. Upto 100% scholarships are available. I have got 15% scholarship on the basis of my 12th score and many of my friends has gotten upto 75% scholarships. But these scholarships are only for 1St year and to maintain scholarship into the next year you have to maintain the CGPA to avail scholarship.

College fests and various activities

The campus life at JK Laxmipat University is good as there was a fresher's party name Parichay 24 at the month of August and there was also going to held a function called Sabrang which will be of 3 days in the month of October. Mainly the books are their in the soft copy but if the students want the hard copy of the books they can take from the library or can take a printout. Mainly all the books are available in library. All the facilities needed are provided in the classroom as there are AC classroom, digital classroom is also there and the computers in the lab are also good. Overall facilities are good. Sports and extracurricular activities are not so good in the college as they mainly focus in studyies. Yaa many seniors run different groups for sports, music,dance, gym and other activities. Those students who are interested can join the group.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

The hostel facility is very good. There are two hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. There are two types of rooms AC rooms and Non-AC rooms. AC rooms are quite expensive than Non AC rooms. There are also two seater and three seater rooms. In the room there are three beed , three study table with chair , three books shelf and three almera h. There are two common washroom in each floor and one common kitchen. There is also a activity room in group floor of the hostel to play games, watch TV etc. The food provided is okay okay type not so good not so bad. They cook only Veg food and on paid basis they cook Non- Veg food. The registration process is very smooth for the hostel and it is very affordable for the hostel room we get. If you rented a room or PG then there are many societies and PGs within 1 km of the college.Many students of our college live in rented rooms nearby.

Student views on the faculty and exams

The faculty to the students ratio was great it is about 1:11. The faculty and students relationship was great , the faculty was very supportive and every week there were mentoring hour in which we can tell our problems persnoal to the faculty. Though I like all the faculty but the faculty I like the most is Manushi mam which teaches us Calculs, the way she teaches, explains and clear our doubts is the thing I love the most about her. There was no faculty I disliked as every faculty was very supportive and friendly with us sometimes may faculty scold us but it is for our betterment. The mid terms and end terms were the most important exams and many quize exam or suprise test were also taken once a month or twice a month. The marking scheme depends upon the attendance, class participation, class behaviour, assignments and on the exams.Some students may fail in the subjects but I don't have a specific number how many students are getting failed.The course is latest and relevant.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

I have applied in many colleges like Manipal University, Bennett University, NMIMS University and many other colleges and universities. I have got confirm admission in all these colleges I have specified. I have chosen JK Laksmipat University from other as due to the main reason was the semester exchange program with IITs,IIITs and many good colleges and I was also getting 15% scholarship which make it slightly affordable as compared to other colleges. Yes I got rejections from many government and some private colleges. I could not make it their due to less number in JEE. Admission process in my college is as follows- Eligibility - You should score more than 60 number in the main subjects on the 12th board and you should clear the interview taken by the college. Exams accepted for B.Tech admission are JEE,12th board, and CUET. The exam most preferred by the students is JEE. My overall admission experience was good my interview was very good and the admission process was very smooth

The life of JKLU

Likes

The infra structure is also quite good. You will find very warm environment here

Dislikes

The sports curriculum isn't that good here but still there are all the equipments of sports available but You will not find a proper badminton ground even.
Quality of gym equipments isn't upto mark but yaa you will get a proper gymming area where you can exercise.

Admission:

I visited many private Universities like jecrc, manipal, etc. but JKLU stand above all. The find the crowd very well here therefore i took addmission here instead of going for jecrc and other private colleges.

Likes

The ratio is great as in even in btech boys to girls ratio is 3:1. And safe campus for girls too
You will find very less judgemental environment over there

Dislikes

Sports facilities are very very average. For some sports they don't even have a court
Powers of decision making are with only few people at the management level.
College committees are not so active. They are just there for the name

Admission:

I applied to rvce bangalore and COEP pune, I got selected in both but I wasn't getting the branches I wanted in them though they offer that we can upgrade the branches but it is very difficult and would not be so conventional. Also my family wanted me to stay in jaipur. And I can definitely say out of all the engineering colleges in jaipur, I would prefer JKLU as manipal's reputation we all know and the people there are least interested in studies and mostly are into drugs and all also not so safe campus. Jecrc and skit has a lot of chapri crowd there and are literally very crowded. Poornima was not even on my list. So yeah in jaipur, JKLU is the best. We can say I faced rejection from bits pilani as I was getting their mesra branch and not the pilani one as my score was not so good. Rvce and coep too I wasn't able to get the grades for CSE branch there. Admission process is very easy you just have to score 60 percentile in jee or more for entering jklu and submit all your documents and must passed your 10th & 12th with 60% and above.

Likes

Not many restrictions in college. Treat you like an adult
This college really provides good quality education

Dislikes

Events are not so happening and enjoy ale
Placenent ratio is very loww. Not a high to gets placement inside the college

Admission:

I choose this college becouse my low percentile with jee and it's near with my current location and it's is better colleges than my town colleges and it really quite good and easy going colllegs I hve seen

1. Before Jklu i approcahed for manipal, subodh college. 2. But later went to JKLU as placement cell convinced me for beeter placements woth specialization i wanted. 3.Course curriculum was well designed so i choose JKLU finally.

Admission:

The education and the fees and the facility JKLU is providing in the given fee is awesome. The college is budget friendly the main reason to chose it and it provides scholarships. I also applied to NID but didn't get through

Dislikes

Secondly I dislike about the college is its campus area which is about only 30 acres
First thing I dislike about the college is about its extra curricular activities. There are extra curricular activities happening but they mainly focus on studies not so focused on any other activities.

JKLU A HIDDEN GEM UNIVERSITY OF RAJASTHAN.

Likes

The infrastructure of the Learning Resource center and the football ground are very amazing . The friendly behaviour of the teachers allow us to contact them easily. Also the students here are so friendly and seniors were also supportive and noce.

Dislikes

The limited resources for sports and lack of machines in the gym. Thats all I dislike

Admission:

The students who scored above 55% in their senior secondary exams are eligible for this course. Everyone can find more details like application form, application and application dates on the university's official website that is www.jklu.edu.in. The exams are held thrice a semester that is 2 midterms and 1 end terms like any other private university and the difficulty of the exams are high but don't worry you can easily crack the exams if you were paying attention in the classes your concepts are cleared and you've done all the assignments. The admission proccess lacks only in the advertising area the university doesn't advertise themselves as they should for the admissions.

JKLU through my Lens

Likes

Friendly faculties and staff, you can even work all night in the studios if required.
Student friendly management, can get permissions easily
Peace and the freedom in university campus

Dislikes

Far from city, it takes around 30 to 45 minutes to reach main city

Admission:

The admission process was similar to almost all the colleges. In which they took a entrance exam (good part was it was an offline exam for me) it was a design oriented paper and also with some basic knowledge of science and maths. Eligibility criteria was to have passed 12th class. Application forms were available on the websites and all the details too available there. There are no as such reservations based on caste but only based on merit and NID and uceed scores. During the announcement or results of entrance exam I didn't got to know how am I evaluated and on what criteria I got 50% scholarship which was something I didn't like and I think should have a clear results for that.
