SVIT Admission Dates 2027

Admissions for the 2026-27 session have concluded. The 2027-28 cycle will be anchored by TS EAMCET 2027 for B.Tech admissions and TSICET 2027 for MBA admissions, both conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Dates below are tentative, based on previous cycle patterns.

SVIT also accepts JEE Main scores through the TSCHE counselling process for B.Tech admissions. The table below shows the entrance exams accepted across programmes.

SVIT Courses and Fees

SVIT’s programme portfolio is focused on computer science and emerging technology disciplines at the UG level, complemented by a management programme at the PG level. Total B.Tech fee is INR 3.17 to 3.23 Lakhs for the 4-year programme across branches.

The B.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering is offered with four specialisation tracks: AI and Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things. All specialisations share the same fee structure of INR 3.23 Lakhs.

SVIT Admission Process

SVIT B.Tech and MBA admissions are fully governed by TSCHE’s online web counselling. The institute is autonomous, so it sets its own internal academic calendar after students are admitted through the state counselling.

B.Tech Admission

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology for AI&DS) with at least 45% aggregate
• Entrance Exam: Valid TS EAMCET rank or JEE Main score
• Process: Online registration on TSCHE portal, certificate verification, web options (branch and college choice), allotment, fee payment, and reporting to college

TS EAMCET 2024 closing rank for General Category at SVIT ranged from 42,373 to 85,335 depending on branch. CSE-core branches attracted the lower (better) rank cutoffs. Aspirants targeting CSE or AI branches should aim for TS EAMCET rank below 50,000 in General Category.

B.Tech Lateral Entry

• Eligibility: Diploma in Engineering (relevant branch) with 45% marks
• Entrance Exam: TS ECET or POLYCET score
• Process: TSCHE lateral entry counselling, direct admission to second year of B.Tech

MBA Admission

• Eligibility: Any UG degree with at least 50% aggregate
• Entrance Exam: TSICET score
• Process: TSCHE MBA counselling. TSICET 2025 closing rank for General Category at SVIT MBA ranged from 7,107 to 8,485 across specialisations.

SVIT Placements

SVIT runs campus placement drives for final-year B.Tech and MBA students through its Training and Placement Cell. The highest offer recorded in the 2024 season was INR 12 LPA. The average placement package was in the INR 3 to 3.5 LPA range. A total of 128 students secured placements in the most recently reported cycle, primarily in IT services and consulting roles.

The Training and Placement Cell maintains industry contacts and organises pre-placement training in aptitude, coding assessments, and group discussion skills. B.Tech students in AI/ML and CSE branches record the highest placement rates among the graduating cohort.

IT services companies form the core recruiter base. CSE, AI/ML, and Data Science branch students attract the widest recruiter interest. MBA students are placed primarily in analytics and marketing roles.

SVIT Scholarships

Students admitted to SVIT can avail of state and central government scholarship schemes. Telangana government scholarship schemes and the Government of India merit-cum-means schemes apply to eligible students based on category and income criteria.

SVIT Campus and Infrastructure

SVIT is located in Secunderabad, Telangana, benefiting from excellent connectivity via the Secunderabad railway junction and major road networks connecting to Hyderabad’s IT corridors in HITEC City and Gachibowli.

The campus infrastructure includes departmental computer labs, an AI and machine learning laboratory, a central library with digital resources, seminar halls, and an auditorium. The institute holds NAAC-A grade and NBA accreditations, with autonomous status enabling curriculum updates aligned to industry needs in data science and cyber security.

On-campus hostel facilities are not available. Students typically arrange accommodation in the Secunderabad and Uppal areas, which are well-connected to the campus. The Secunderabad location provides access to Hyderabad’s public transport network, including the metro rail and MMTS suburban train service. Most students from outside the city opt for private paying-guest (PG) accommodations within 2 to 5 km of the campus.

Aspirants comparing private engineering colleges in the Hyderabad-Secunderabad region often evaluate SVIT alongside CMR College of Engineering and Technology (CMRCET) and Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC). All three serve the TS EAMCET applicant pool targeting affordable B.Tech education in Hyderabad.
