A mixture of pleasent and bizzare experiences

Subjects like electrical ..mechanical workshop and even values and ethics didn't mean so much In the first year as a cyber security student. Although According tk the syllabus it is well planned and structured. Frequency is high. More than 20 lectures per week. Very hectic

Not very much aware of the internship opportunities in the college..however heard the department supports to avail in some internship if someone fails to get one. Will come to know more about this when I will be a pre final year student.

Placements are good . More than 90% students are placed if they have a decent skill set. Companies like Capgemini TCS and Accenture visit the campus every year. Highest in 2024 was 33 lpa and average is 7-8 lpa.

Fees is 680000 for 4 years BTech program. Other reservation categories are given some relaxation. Other compulsory charges include the exam enrollment fees for the semesters. Scholarship available for the students are SVMCM and kanyashree for the girls

Tech workshop and events happen every month and often.. but a huge lack of cultural events and even fests ..no freshers is given in the college which is very disappointment for the freshers . Sports facilities are not very promising. Students run societies and clubs are there and they do a good job by organising several events across the calendar.

Considered heritage institute of technology and jadavpur as well with better infrastructure and facilities. Addmission process is through wbjee exams or direct admission through management quota. No I didn't get a rejection from other colleges. Came to haldia due to its decent placement stats.

Faculty to student ratio is like 1 to 70. Majority of the faculty being very friendly but some of them very rude and cruel ..being abusive on the students. as a first year liked faculties like Arpita Majumder and Ranjan Dutta for their immense support and upliftment nature. Just hated faculties like debyaduti and Indranil dey assistant prof. In the electrical department is very abusive and very biased towards the girls. Exams are 3 internal exams and end sem exams.. moderate .. very few fail to clear the exam. Course curriculum is not relevant in the first year

No such nightlife for the juniors. However seniors roam around in the night. Gym facilities are decent. Hostel timings are from 6 in the morning and 7 30 in the evening. Famous hangout are the city centre and the riverside in Haldia
