There are a few functions that happen in a year like annual functions, Farewell, Freshers and Ganpati festivals. There is 1 library in college that has a vast book stock but there is a reading hall in which books are funded by alumni of college on your needs and demands. Classrooms are well equipped with smart class technology and well-furnished AC classrooms. There are several intercollege tournaments and there is an annual sports meet there. We have no clubs but students do social welfare through NSS and it's necessary to join NSS for the first 3 semesters..

Faculty

Faculty are too friendly to students and can be approached anytime for any problems. The Faculty-to-student ratio is 1:10. Faculties like Kapil Mandaloi, and Jogunari Sravan Kumar are too approachable for any problem. they make comfortable students like a family. There are 2 semester each year and in each semester's exams are segregated to mid-term exam, Viva and end-term exams. Papers are moderate but 20-30% of students fail to clear exam .

* the faculty to student ratio is typically around 7: 20 and this allows for more supportive environment. * the relationship between student and teacher is generally very positive. faculty members are approachable and willing to provide guidance. * Favorate faculty: Bibek sir - His teaching was really good and he will explain in such a neat way so that everyone will understand the topic easily and took real time examples for better understanding of students. * Disliked faculty - ps madam - she don't day classes and always chit chat with others,. *Exams : There are 5 weekend exams and 3 mid terms and final exams in each semester. *Yeah if you study well you can pass easily * the course curriculum is quite relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

* I choose this course primsrily due to its emhasis on agriculture and interst in it.Courses related to food caught my attention. * As you know NOW a days agriculture is playing crucial role in everything and literally without agriculture field one cannot do anything. Areas of improvement: incorporation of emerging technologies. teaching methods interactive learning * In my experience, exams are quite difficult because they are too frequent , every week we have to write exams and each mid in every moth , internals and externals.

Faculty to student ratio is 1:4. Some of the faculty members are very friendly and approachable however the others are not that much friendly but they will help with academic problems. Faculties from Soil and water are the best according to me. Also Faculty of Farm machinery and power works hard to improve students knowledge. Some faculty members do not teach that much, does not take classes properly but gives question like they had discussed the topics in very depth. In each semester 2 exams are there- one is midsem another end sem. mid sem consisting of 30 marks and end sem of 50 marks and practical with viva and assignments 20 marks. Its very tough to maintain CGPA above 8.5 as absolute marks are added from both mid sem and end sem.

The faculty-to-student ratio is awesome. There is a huge amount of professors that can guide you in the overall college journey and they are really helpful all the time. They are very easy to approach and will be very happy to solve any of your doubts. Some of the best faculties are Dr. Manish Kumar, Dr. Devendra Kumar, Dr. Ram Suresh Verma, Dr. P. K. Pranav, Er. Indu Bhusan Bhagat, Er. Kranti Kumar, Er. Manoj Kumar, Er. Manoranjan Kumar, and lot more. Dr. P. D. Sharma, Dr. R. K. Sahu are one of the professors with whome you should not mess because they judge someone quickly. There are 3 exams total in a semester(including practical examination) but there might be surprise test any day so be prepared for that too, so all together there is a total of 24 examinations officially, and 4 mandatory seminars, 3 for your training report evaluation and 1 for your project report evaluation. You also have to submit a thesis report at the end of your 8th semester for the completion of your degree.

Campus Life

The campus life is amazing and full of happenings. You can roam around the campus anytime you want and the ambience and vibe of that place is pretty amazing. Since most of the land is being used for agriculture purpose so it is very quite and serene out there. There are lots of fest organised either on college level or on University level. The library is really big with typically most of the books available in it. It has the option of AC library too and the environment is quite good and the access to the books are pretty convenient. It has the facility of computers as well, so if someone wants to do some research online it can be easily done in the library. There is annual inter college sports meet and monthly inter semester sports meet too. The hostels has the facility of many sports like Badminton, Table Tenis, Volleyball, and many more. There is also a clubs for singing, dancing, art, and especially Entrepreneurship cell(E-cell) where students can develop entrepreneurship skills.

I personally think HAU is the only university which gives you so much exposure both in social and academics life. Social life of University is very grateful there are a number of clubs in university, out of which Mountaineering club is most active and do at least 2 activities in a year. Students can play any sports they want. Tracks and ground are provided for every sports. Sometimes Degree politics occurs while selecting the students for inter University games.

Faculty

Faculty of the college is very good in behaviour and very supportive. All the faculty members are well educated and have their own way of teaching. Teachers help students in every way they can. Number of subjects vary semester wise and exams are conducted semester wise. Total 100 marks exam are taken in which 40 marks objective questions and 60 marks subjective questions.

Campus Life

Christmas was the time when college was beautifully lit up and national festivals were also celebrated well. There were several community and religious groups which organised celebrations and activities either within them Or open to all. There was also cultural club, photography club and literary club working just fine and organizing events. NCC was encouraged quite well. Departmental events too. We ad International seminar from University of Thailand and few other agriculture seminars. Krishi mela was organised too. Similarly other departments too conducted related activities. College encouraged sport events every year including races, football, basketball, badminton and cricket. There is a central Library and a departmental library. Curriculum related books were available once you have made and paid for your library card. Journals and thesis for reference can be readily available. One was fined if one loses the book or do not return them on due date. More books should be available.

Faculty

The faculty strength in each department was ample. Never an issue of unavailibility of a professor occured. The faculty was trained in accordance with their respective fields of knowledge however there was a lack of keeping up with the modern advancements in the field. Theory classes were fine but the required pratical classes for them was highly inadequate. Fair share of unit assesments and examinations we're conducted each semester. Teachers were available if one needed to be in touch with them and some of them we're quite easy to interact with, the only problem being that many of them would not provide with helpful solutions or guidance. They would hear you out but be a help will be questionable. But again not all faculty was like that, some of the teachers were well informed and would really help you.
