Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University also known as ANGRAU Guntur that was established under the name of Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) on the 12th of June 1964 through the APAU Act 1963. ANGRAU is one of the finest & premier universities in the fields of Agriculture & Home Science. With the help & guidance of extraordinary faculty members, the educational institute is approved by ICAR & UGC.

ANGRAU Guntur Admission 2024 is open. The university offers an offline mode of application process, the students need to visit the official website to apply for any courses.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the university and click on Exams/ Results/ Admissions tab.
Step 2: Click on PG Admission Notification for PG and Ph.D. Courses.
Step 3: You will be navigated to a new page where you can click on the link for application for desired course.

Library: At the headquarters of the university, there are a total number of 11 libraries. The libraries are functioned by the University Librarian. Ques. What are the courses offered at ANGRAU?

Dislikes

There is no ICAR accreditation when compared to other colleges ~ Jyothsnavi, B.Sc {Hons.}
I think no encouragement from the cultural team head for the all ~ Madhu Shalini, B.Sc {Hons.}
Other co-curricular activities like sports and cultural activities are not given much importance. The student clubs are also very unorganised, no effort is made to furnish the non academic skill in the students. ~ Supriya Seth, B.Sc {Hons.}

Best college to study

Likes

Facilities, hostel facility is very nice they provided geysers and coolers. Message is completely understand students control so food is great and the monthly bill is very less. Every one has to maintain their room with cleanliness, periodic checking
Faculty is very good. All are qualified phd candidates with strong knowledge in their stream
Fees structure is very nominal and affordable. Fees reimbursement options also there

Dislikes

Castism. Some people maintains caste groups which I don't like
Ragging. Ragging is the most common thing here
No freedom. Professors think that we should be under their control everytime

Course curriculum and eligibility criteria to get admission

You need to get a rank in EAMCET to register for this course. It's highly competitive. So after joining only we will come to know about the curriculum. All the courses and teaching methods should change. They should adapt the new technology

Paid internship opportunity provided by the college

They give stipend around 2500/month which is enough for each person. There is a rawe program where we need to spend 6 months in a village observing farmers how they are working like that. Best thing is this program prepares you for everything

Companies recruiting from the campus, highest and lowest package being offered per month

Last semester onwards students will be eligible for campus placements. ITC, VST, Godfrey phillips are the main companies that comes to campus selection every year. Highest package would be 40000 / month and lowest is 25000/month

Fees of the course per year and scholarship available in the college

2013 I paid 7600 2014 I paid 8000 2015 I paid 9200 2016 I paid 8300 There are no management seats. For SC,ST,BC,EBC they can get government scholarships with full fees reimbursement including hostel charges For all people the fees structure is same There are no scholarships for merit you just need to pass the semester to become eligible for fees reimbursement

Various events being celebrated in the college

There are so many events conducted in this college. Food festival, annual function, sports day and so on. The best one is annual function where students put stalls for entertainment purpose. Lottery also there where each one can get costly gifts

Facilities provided in the college hostel

Each room will be shared among three people. One fan and two tubelights will be there. Common bathroom for everyone. Coming to hostel meals two days boiled eggs, two days omlet, two days chicken. Best food facilities in the whole india

Students view on faculties

As it is a government college not that many professors are there. 30-40 professors need to teach 1200 students. Genetics department is having best faculty. I feel like that because of my interest in genetics Agronomy:- I don't like this department because of the field work

Admission process and eligibility criteria

My first preference is this only. Based on my rank which was 5000 I got seat in this one. As this is first preference and I got admission here there is no rejection. Admission process is very simple you need to get a proper EAMCET rank

Night Life

Gym and libraries are common thing. Hostel timing are pretty simple no one should roam after 8 pm it's very strict. Famous hangout places are always fields where you can enjoy the beauty. If you ask outside the hangout place would be tiffin centre opp to the college

Things I liked in the college are campus life and the way I can interact with others infrastructure is good and facilities are okiesh.
I got to learn on my own for my study for my exams

Dislikes

And also games and sports are less compared to other colleges

Admission:

The other colleges i applied to are government colleges in agriculture..but I couldn't get a seat there as my rank was high..since I've heard in all the private colleges this is good I opt for this college.the admission process is we attend to a counselling procedure and then by the rank they chose

Know about my prestigious college

The quality of infrastructure is good not than expected.but we can adjust.it was a old college nearly it's been 75 years . learning facilities are good .they have well maintained labs with different tools and equipments
In the college the girls ratio are more in every batches than boys coming to the positive things about College the facilities and faculty are good .they provide you a great practical knowledge.the teaching methods are very great in our campus.

Dislikes

The will be less prefence for the freshers students at starting of their year
The things I dislike in campus is very huge we need walk a lot .

Admission:

According to my rank i choose this college . There is another agriculture college in Bapatla it's the top college.compare to that college our college was some what bad in academics and faculty . I applied for Bapatla mahanadi but on my rank and region I got selected into this college The admission process is like first you need to write the eapcet exam which is conducted for 160 marks every year so through that exam you can get into the college based on your rank.after that you should apply for counseling and they will conform the seat then you should submit the required documents and certificates they ask. That's the procedure for admission

I have applied for other collage like kerela agricultural university and collage of agriculture tamil nadu . I am also interested in that colleges because its near to my hometown and the languages are comfortable for me but unfortunately i got here but that didnt make me regret i am very happy to be here.

Absolutely dissatisfying campus but the highly qualified faculty compensate for it but the college life disappoints me.

Dislikes

The campus is really very small the labs and libraries are also quite compressed the library only consist of the basic academic books. Basic things like canteen and ATM machine is also not in the campus.
Other co-curricular activities like sports and cultural activities are not given much importance. The student clubs are also very unorganised, no effort is made to furnish the non academic skill in the students.

Admission:

So I wrote CUET exam and applied in different colleges through ICAR. I applied in the colleges which deals with agriculture horticulture pisciculture and community science. I was more inclined toward agriculture and all the branches of agriculture. I applied for many colleges but my top priority was Rani Lakshmi Bai Central agriculture University but I didn't able to get a seat in that colleges due to my low score in the entrance exam. Other than the college I am currently studying I also got a seat in Manipur but due to the political riots going on there at that time I rejected that college. After the ICAR counselling, once you pay the fees and you get your allotment letter you have to go to the college before the given time for physical counselling and there you have to submit all original documents and if you opt for hostel the hostel fees and the college registration fees and then you will be enrolled in the college. But if you are a Andhra Pradesh student then you can also apply in this college just through your intermediate marks which is generally above 70%. In case of ICAR exam for general category a rank of 10000 to 15000 can also get you a seat in this college.

teaching class rooms are good with good infrastructure facilites.

Dislikes

college gym and ground facilities needs improvement.

Admission:

i choosed this college because it has good infrastructure compared to other colleges offering same course, admission process of college is pretty simple, college shortlists few students for admission based on their eamcet score and few seats are sold for donation also, 60% seats are goverenment reserved seats and 40% seats are donation seats.

I only applied to this college only. I don't even write any exam also for the second option also. It will have a spot counselling you have to select on it based on you merit you have to apply it before a month.

I did'nt applied for any other colleges as I want to study in south India for exploring my self. I given ICAR examination for admission in this course. According my rank I got this college. The admission prosses is good.

The admission is based on the Entrance Test conducted by the university, you must have done B.Sc. (Ag.)/B.Sc. (CA&BM) of four years duration.

The fee per year for the BSc in Agriculture course is INR 24,300 at the Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University. Candidate must have passed 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized board with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either. Candidates must qualify one of the following entrance test - Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).

Admission to any course at ANGRAU Guntur is done based on EAMCET, AGRICET & AGRIENGGCET exam followed by counselling and to be eligible for the same, you must have passed 12^th from a recognized board to be eligible.
