ANGRAU Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

ANGRAU offers B.Tech and B.Sc. courses in various disciplines.Selection to B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture, B.Tech is done based on EAMCET entrance examination. Admission to B.Sc (Hons) in Community Science is done based on merit in the qualifying examination.

For admission to second year in B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, candidate need to qualify AGRICET for which they need to have passed Diploma in Agriculture. Whereas admission to second year of B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering is given based on AGRIENGGCET conducted by the university. Candidates need to qualify Diploma in Agricultural Engineering. 

AGRIENGGCET

1. The candidates should have completed minimum of 18 years of age as on December 31^st of the admission year and maximum of 23 years.
2. In case of SC/ST category, he should be of a maximum of 26 years of age and 28 years in respect of PC candidates. 
3. Qualifying marks – 25% of the maximum marks of the entrance test. However, there are no qualifying marks for the candidates of SC/ST category.
4. 15% of the supernumerary seats are reserved for AGRIENGGCET.

• The upper age limit of 22 years old is relaxed in certain situations. It is 25 years of age for SC/ST candidates, and 27 for those with physical disabilities.
• For B.Tech in Food Technology, 50% of the seats will be filled with students from Bi.P.C. stream and the rest will be filled by M.P.C. stream.
• 40% of the seats are reserved under Farmer’s Quota.
• 20% of the supernumerary seats are reserved for AGRICET.
• Candidates having Diploma in Home Science can also apply for B.Sc. in Community Science under 10% of the supernumerary seats.

ANGRAU offers several postgraduate courses in various disciplines. It also offers MBA in Agricultural Management. The university offers M.Sc. in Agriculture and Home Science leading to various disciplines. It offers M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering leading to three disciplines.

Minimum eligibility for M.Tech is candidate must have passed B.Tech in respective specializations. For M.Sc., candidate must pass in B.Sc. degree with relevant specializations of four year duration. For MBA, candidates must pass in Bachelor’s degree with relevant discipline.

Selection to M.Tech and M.Sc. is done based on entrance examination conducted by the university. For MBA, candidates are selected based on Entrance Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

Key Points:

• Candidate must obtain minimum 50% marks or 5.5 out of 10 CGPA to become eligible.
• The upper age limit for PG degree in 40 years.
• 15%, 6% and 29% of the seats are reserved for SC, ST and BC candidates.
• 25% of the seats are reserved for outside state candidates for which admission is done on the basis of All India Entrance examination of ICAR, New Delhi.

ANGRAU offers Ph.D. degree in variety of disciplines. Minimum eligibility for Ph.D. is B.Sc. in concerned discipline and M.Sc. in concerned discipline with minimum 50% marks.  The selection will be done on the basis the entrance test, marks in M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree and in the interview. 

Key Points:

• An entrance test is conducted by the university, which is given 50% weightage.
• Performance at the Masters level is given 30% weightage.
• Performance at the Degree (undergraduate) level is given 10% weightage.
• Performance in the personal interview conducted by the university is given 10% weightage.
• Minimum qualifying marks for entrance is 50% marks, except for SC/ST/OBC candidates for whom there is no minimum marks.
