Ques. Does IIIT Pune total fee cover hostel and accommodation charges?

Ans. IIIT Pune total course fee does not include hostel charges. Students need to pay an annual hostel fee of INR 48,070 separately, which is not included in the total course fee.

IIIT Pune Admission 2026

Admission to IIIT Pune for the year 2026 is currently open. The admission process is done online. Students must visit the college's online portal to apply. Academic structure of the college

Basically I am interested in coding because many told us it's a easy and demanding course in market and pune is known for its location and it's it hub.My faculty is awesome they even spend more time to clarify our doubts.They are friendly. All faculty members are IIT graduates.Their way of teaching was awesome.Term Exams were held with a gap of 1 month to 1½month.Their level of difficulty is moderate.

Internship opportunities provided by the college

Companies like Yugabyte visited our campus with a placement of over 55 lpa, amazon also visited our company with over 43 lpa package, and Samsung has also visited our campus with a placement of 22 lpa and recruited 13 students. You get internship opportunities in the 6th semester and 7th semester, if you are talented enough you can get an internship in 4-5th sem.

Placement scenario in campus, average and highest package being offered

Placement is quite good here all those students having grades greater than or equal to 7cgpa get placed with a minimum placement of 8 to 9 lpa. Almost 60 percent of students get above 7C.G.P.A which is also an eligibility criterion for most of the companies. More than 70 companies visit the campus every year, Average package is 17 lpa, and the highest package is 55 lpa on campus and 1.5 cr off campus. There is 100% placements for eligible candidates. My plan is to secure a good job after my degree

Fees of the course per year

Fees in IIITs are quite high like in this college also the same case. The fee here is 3.7lakh per annum including hostel and mess . It is high due to campus devolopment fee and some other fee.There are not any scholarships provided by the college (except for SC/ST).

Events organized, clubs and facilities available in the campus

As there is no campus for our college and we are living in a temporary campus where there is no much facilities but it is not too bad.But they provide many clubs in our clg like local host,Bit legion,Sports clubs,Saaz,Vanity crew etc..if u think much about campus this is not good for you.If you think about academics it is a better option for u.as there is no ground for our college.so there is no sports facilities for our clg.But there will be sports events like intra iiit and inter iiit.

Facilities provided in the college hostel

Hostel fees are quite high it is 60000 per annum. In hostel their is 4 share room . Wifi is unlimited but network quality is not so good . You get almost 24*7 electricity and water supply warm water is also available. Mess is absolutly horrible as south indian it is very hard for me eat mess food and they also don't allow you to leave mess , but you can take other mess around the college which is decent but still you have to pay for mess fee.There are many pg which are located near to clg

Eligibility criteria to get admission in the college

Eligibility of the course:- 75% in 12th but since I got admission in 2023, because of covid that year there were no eligibility criteria. I got admission through Jee Mains I got 97.54 percentile and I also took O.B.C benefits. On the day of admission, the day is very good they told us what are the documents required in advance and they even paste it in on the walls and they received us well.The admission process just took 15min to complete and I am really very glad for that.

I liked the place near the campus, so beautiful and natural
I liked the seniors and there cooperation with us , also liked some of the facilities

Dislikes

This college do not have ground, but will make complete in 30 days
The connectivity from city is quite slow , because no rapido , no uber , not blinkit , but other than this all come here .
I didn't liked the campus, because construction is going on

Admission:

I choose this college because it is in Pune , and here will see many practical real world problems in Industries ,and learn about it . Admission process is you have to submit you 12th & 10th Marksheet you need to be 75% at least in 12th overall , Cutoff for general in ECE is 38412 JEE mains

IIIT Pune Detailed Review

I am not as social but as i see the students are social . There are many programs like for sports Inter IIIT , Eklavya and many more. There are cultural programs too like Ganesh chaturthi , Shivaji Jayanti.
It is in the IT City Pune and Its campus is now Nice as compared to the previous College and Weather of Pune is also too attractive Better coding enviornment . Teacher are Good Some Teacher like Jatin Majhitia is Great and some more\
There are various clubs inside the college like Arambh , Bitlegion (For coding), Abhinay ( For Drama and dance),Saaz for Song and many more. Here is no ragging as anti ragging committe is too active so as secuirty as a refernce it is fully secure.

Dislikes

In new campus we see some connectivity issue as this college in remote area so it is problem. Still it is a new so we can say that after sometime connectivity will be easy.

Admission:

This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. Its General Cutoff is high and OBc too.

Social Interactions are average to decent
College Campus is very beautiful . Feels like holiday destination here. Some construction is left.

Dislikes

The field is not ready yet. Am the college team football player and sad the field is not ready
Girls to Boys ratio is poor. For like 360 guys in 1 year, barely 40-50 girls

Admission:

Most importantly, the college admission comes off JEE scores. This was the best i could get through my JEE courses. I was never rejected from any other college though. The admission here occurs through Josaa

My experience of iiit pune

Likes

The location is scenic even though it is far from lonavala
The coding culture for cse is very good and supportive

Dislikes

As it is far from city, accessibility is very long process but the college provides free bus service to the railway station.

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it. To apply for iiit pune you need to appear for JEE mains and get above 98% if you are general or obc candidate. The admission process isn't hectic but preparation for exam is.

I tried to get into nit suratkal but due to my jee mains ranking i couldn't, so i couldn't have got any nit so i tried to get iiit and the best iiit as i found having best placements and nearest to where i live was iiit pune so i joined it. For iiit u have to write jee mains and i guess u have to get less than 30k ranking.

IIIT PUNE AS EXPERIENCED BY A FRESHER.

Likes

Campus Location is great. We get to see green hills covered in cloud from our room balcony itself.
Connectivity is good. We got bus stations and railway station not far from our campus.
Admission process is so well mannered. Infrastructure of the collage is good.

Dislikes

Due to a newly functioning campus there aint any sports facilities available to students.

As pune itself being an IT hub i knew i will be getting a great coding culture and exposure to tech and programming world. The location and climate of the campus is surprisingly good and view that you get from the balcony of your room is just relaxing. I get the collage by JEE examination and choose it because of location advantage and newly established campus. It's admission is very well structured.

Life at iiit pune

Likes

There are many clubs which you can participate in the dance club the singing club the acting club the speaking or debating club
Lab are neat are equipments are nice also the whether of pune is really nice

Dislikes

The budgets for Events is really less so events are not that great

Admission:

Well iiit pune comes under top 5-7 iiit in India and because it is a national institute I opted for it and also you feel respected I got it from jee mains and got 97 percentile I was getting nit but lower branch I wanted these therefore this was the best option out of everything I was getting

The student ratio in the college is really bad. There are almost 100 boys in a batch of 120.
Unavailability of permanent campus. Current classes are been conducted in Sinhgad College , Pune. Campus construction is expected to finish till April 2025.

Admission:

I took admission to this college through josaa councilling. You need to give jee mains exam to take admission in NITs and IIITs. My percentile in JEE mains was 98.2. At this rank the best option available for CS was IIIT pune.I had options in NITs but for different branches, I chose this college for computer science branch.

There is no Management Quota available for taking direct admission to any of the courses offered in IIIT Pune. The admissions to the courses are based on entrance examinations followed by Counselling process.

What are the steps involved in the application process for candidates applying to IIIT Pune through JEE Main or GATE?

Selection to the B.Tech program is based on the ranks secured by the candidates in the JEE Main entrance examination followed by the JoSAA counseling process. You need to register for the counseling process after the JEE result. The cutoff will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognized board/ university with at least 60% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 50% in the class 12th class examination for admission to the Btech course at IIIT Pune. Those who are eligible for admission to MTech courses have to take the GATE. Visit the official website. Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID, and mobile number. After the form is submitted, an enrollment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number. Fill out the application form.
