26 Jun, 2025 India Today Science Ranking 2025 has been released. VISTAS Chennai has been ranked 124 out of 217 colleges in India. 

21 Jun, 2025 VISTAS Chennai Admission 2025 is open for PG programs. Interested candidates can apply online at the official website @vistas.ac.in.

Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Chennai, popularly known as Vels University is a deemed-to-be university approved by UGC. i choose MCA - MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION in vels masters in computer application are have good value and good placements. In this curriculum, we have better examination pattern, and have more interaction with teachers which helps in good communication skills. As it is deemed to be university, exam frequency are 1 day break between exams Exam timing will be 3 hours

Paid internship opportunity in various organization provided by the college

Vels Institute of Science, Technology, and Advanced Studies encourage students to take up internships in different companies. In the final year of the course, students who undergo internships in both Core and IT domains are honored with a stipend. Internships help students to get proficiency in a particular domain and to get real-time experience on the job. It raises their awareness of best practices in the industry. The placement cell provides internship opportunities as part of campus recruitment. The stipend given on internship ranges from INR 8000 per month to INR 25000 per month. Some of the organizations where our students have done internships are Goldman Sachs, Aditya Birla, IDBI, and United Nations.

In vels there are more sports activities like cricket tournament,kabaddi team etc There are more clubs in the college like rotaract club,yoga club, etc

Faculty and evaluation criteria followed in the campus

All the faculties are well educated. All the faculties are PhD completed and have doctorate for the particular department. All the faculties are very friendly and helpful to students and guide us in correct way. For 1 semester, there will be 5 exams CAT exam - internal exam, conducted 2 times. Model exam - conducted before semester exam. Semester practical - conducted before semester theory exam Semester exam Practical exam have 40 marks Semester theory exam have 100 marks During evaluation,the 100 mark will be converted into 60 marks

Admission Process of the college

I apply to many colleges like SRM University, rajalakshmi university but fore VELS University is better to be honest and it is near to my location and the campus is within the main city I got rejected in some colleges because during my undergraduate, i didn't study mathematics. For MCA, we need mathematics for admission. But in vels,they just ask about the computer knowledge. To get admission for MCA in vels University, eligibility are , should study mathematics or computer science in college or school. Admission process are simple, just fill the admission form then pay the fees that's it.

Night Life

There are big ground and more hangout spots in the campus and outside the campus there are more shops like restaurant, shopping mall, sports turf, theatre. In the campus there will be gym for hostelers This campus is very same to roam around because full campus are covered with CCTV and security guards.

VISTAS Chennai Scholarship 2025

Scholarship provided by the college.

Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Pallavaram Chennai conducts V-SAT 2024, a scholarship admission test to offer 100% scholarships to more than 1000 students to pursue their undergraduate program at their campus.

V-SAT 2024 will be conducted in an online mode from April 15, 2024 to April 22, 2024.

The results of VSAT 20204 will be published on their website and can be accessed through the link http://www.velsuniv.ac.in/VSAT.asp.

Other than scholarships based on V-SAT 2024, Vels University also offers scholarships such as Merit Scholarships, First Graduate Scholarships, Artist Associations Scholarships, Ex-Servicemen Scholarships, Sports Scholarships & Alumni Scholarships. 

VISTAS also offers the following scholarship schemes to deserving students:

Clubs and sports also drew me in. I want to try dance, write for the paper, and join tech fests. I met seniors who said they found jobs fast after grad. That gave me hope for the future. College applied and selection process has applied to a few other engineering colleges in Chennai including Srm University Satyabhama Industan among these I receive confirm admission offer from Satya Bhama and Hindustan but I unlimitedly choose whales into Science and technology due to affordable fees locations and admission EC why I choose bails over than others compared to Assaram and Satyabhama vistas have relatively affordable feast sensor my total cost fee is 4,00,000 where else sr 4 lakh per year especially the location is the most important point while choosing my college because it is nearest to my home unlike srm and Satyabhama which required entrance exam like SRMJEE and Vistas offer direct admission based on 12th board mark the elliptic is 50% minimum in physics chemistry max in 12th admission process application submission online offline form available direct admission no entrance exam needed selection is based on 12th month counselling and seat confirmation selected candidate confirmed the admission by paying the first semester fees scholarship available vistas exam scholarship sports scholarship as graduation and Govt employees scholarship

Vels University is not that bad

Admission:

It's very easy to get admission in this college as the admission procedure is very simple. You can directly go to the head office, and you can contact the people sitting in the reception. They'll guide you and throughout the admission. Also, it's near to the airport, which should make a travel entry for the students who are coming from the other states. Also it is situated in a very good place. The college is situated in Pallavaram, which has various like basically everything is present there beat food beat hostels. it's a good place. The location of the college is very good making it very accessible other than the location. The faculties are very nice. The admission procedure is very easy and the infrastructure of the college is also very good. It has enhanced technology. The lab has very good infrastructure and library is also very huge, making it one of the best choice.

After appearing for VSAT, you need to wait for the results to come out. Once the results are out, then you need to appear for VSAT Counselling process The counselling schedule will be sent to mobile number or email ID. You also need to submit the documents at the time of counselling.

It is expected that the VELS University will conduct V-SAT (Vels Student Aptitude Test) in April 2024. This is because, last year the examination was done from 24th to 29th April 2024. The examination was in online mode. The subjects were Quantitative, Verbal and Logical Reasoning.

PhD in commerce is a full-time course at the VELS University. As per the regulations governing the Ph.D. Degree, the number of seats available in different disciplines are notified for information to the interested candidates to apply for the Ph.D. program. The eligible candidates will be informed to appear for a common entrance examination in the respective disciplines followed by an oral test.
