Likes

I really liked the way faculty support us for our best.
The infrastructure of library, class and lab are good.
The students of the university are very supportive to each other

Dislikes

I dislike the hostel infrastructure of the campus.
The mess food is average and not that very good.
The curriculum of the courses are a bit hard to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very good and help with the current industrial informations.The exams are conducted frequently within a time period and it helps the students to improve their skills and knowledge about the industry.

Internships Opportunities

There is a internship opportunity provided by the college in the second year in Flipkart in which you'll get paid for the work. The students are also requested to go for internships during year breaks and have to submit reports to the department.

Placement Experience

I'm currently doing my first year here but I know some seniors who got placements in Dubai and North India. But still don't expect hundred percentage placements here. There are very less placement offers in the first and second year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I pauly almost Rs.2,35,000 per yr including tusi8and hostel fees. The tusion fee per yr is around Rs.1,20,000. My Admission fees was 25000 and there was an extra caution deposit of Rs.10,000. There are also several scholarships provided by the University in different fields.

Campus Life

There are several fests conducted by the different departments of the university every year. There are all kind of books and journal available in the library and library facilities are very good. There are several clubs like cultural club, humour club, eco club etc..

Hostel Facilities

There are 4-6 students in one room with 2-3 bunk beds. The meals are provided thrice a day with strict timing . The food quality is average. It is better to go for PG or apartments if you are a non-DG student.

Hostel Fee: INR 125000 per year

Admission

I've applied many colleges in Kerala yet I choose this college because of its curriculum and and the course quality. The course have very high scopes in present and in the future and is value for the money which we spent here.

Faculty

The faculties are very supportive to the students and help us with any doubts and clear it without any hesitations. There are two continuous assessment test conducted in each semester, one model exam and then the semester exams. The course is very relevant to the curriculum.

Night Life

The cafeteria and library closes at 8:15 pm. The students have to get inside the hostel by 8:30 pm. The most used hangout spots by the students is the library and shi in campus ( inside the campus) and the beach and food spots (outside the campus).

Brutally Honest College Review

Placement Experience:

The placement process begins from the third year i.e. the fifth and sixth sem. But be warned the placement is pure dabba. The companies that visited are goldman sachs, pick your trail, venture lts, greenbay, taj, audible, TCS, etc. the package varies from 3.4 LPA to 12 LPA. These are just peanut money btw. The college says there's 100% placements ( joke of the century) but in reality only 70% gets placed. I plan to do MBA from a different college.

Placement Experience:

After fifth semester the students are eligible for placement opportunities from companies like Amazon, zutherland, etc.. Amazon gives the highest offer in the placement of this department The highest package in Amazon was 500000 rupees per annum after completing BBA. Average package will be between 350000 More than 70 % students gets placed in top companies My plan is to run a own business and upgrade myself financially

Nice environment, Student support system, living in a whole different world.

I applied to a few colleges like Anna University and SRM but got confirmed admission only at AMET University. I chose AMET because of its strong focus on maritime studies and practical training, which other colleges lacked. I faced rejection elsewhere mainly due to lower entrance exam scores. AMET’s admission process requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and accepts scores from TNEA and other engineering entrance exams, with TNEA being the most preferred. Structured comfort and seafaring discipline.

First off all, i didn't apply to any other colleges, then for addmission, they took very long to intimate the dates, again and again I was calling one of the faculty and was asking for dates. Management is responsible for providing information.to the students. While admission, first they asked to pay an advance amount of rs. 25000/- from the course fees i.e rs. 300000/- to confirm my seat. Then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs. 40000/- which was not available then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs 50000/- to confirm the hostel.
