I chose AMET because of its strong focus on maritime studies and practical training, which other colleges lacked. I faced rejection elsewhere mainly due to lower entrance exam scores. AMET’s admission process requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and accepts scores from TNEA and other engineering entrance exams, with TNEA being the most preferred. I applied in the top 4 colleges in this field i.e., Tolani Maritime Institute, IMI Noida, SIMS Mumbai And AMET with MAERSK sponsorship at Chennai. I chose this college because i got MAERSK sponsorship and also the fees comparavtively to other colleges is less. Taking about the admission procedure, we need to clear IMUCET and the AMET CET exam and alsowe need to clear the interview with MAERSK (if passes AMET CET exam). Then the comapny conducts the psychological test in which we need to pass. Then we need to complete our medicals from DGS approved doctor and the comapny approved doctor to get into the college. Passport is mandatory while admission. Around 15000 students gets selected in IMUCET exam every year.
