Likes

The teaching methodology of the faculties.
Disciplined and well monitored environment of college
College management and their cooperative staffs

Dislikes

The climate of chennai is very hot and humid.
Busy and hectic class hours of the college.
Very busy examination schedule and less time for preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college provides us practical knowledge along side the theoretical aspects of education. Frequenct seminars and workshops are setup in campus to give exposure of the real world to the students. Learning is not just done in classrooms but in campus too.

Nice environment, Student support system, living in a whole different world.

Likes

Since the social circle is very big in the college because people will be joining in from different parts of the country, the college will for sure be attractive.
The infrastructure is very good for a student and how they should be treated around it.
The placement services are also too good and it is also very active.

Dislikes

Weather would be a factor which will trouble a bit for very specific people who come from a certain environment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose my course at AMET University because the curriculum emphasises practical marine engineering skills and simulator training, which are crucial for real-world applications. It prepares me well for both onboard roles and further studies. Exams are held twice a semester—internals and finals

Likes

The college is collaborated with renowned industry partners such as Kalvium, Face Prep, and others to provide placement
The college is undergoing a significant infrastructure development project, aimed at enhancing its facilities

Dislikes

They collect fee for Skill based value added training fro every term since now there is special periods for that. We don't know why we are paying the amount

Me as kalvium and Qmet student. On the first of college we signed the aggrement that they will provide 100 percentage Scholarship for us . If no back logs or all the back were cleared. The internship is starting from 2nd yr

My fellow batchmates and friends i. Made
The supportive faculty that would help us with doubts
They are pretty lenient so u can enjoy college life

Dislikes

Culturals are tough to conduct due to funding
Very few IV trips were conducted due to funding
Some procedures are longer than necessary

After 1st year, youll start seeing more subjects related to your course But some courses arent that related and are extremely tough to pass will also appear Overall as the semesters pass u start seeing more course related subjects

i liked the hostel food its good daily they provide good food with separate veg & non veg
i liked the environment there mostly chief engineers are good
I liked the library room its a peaceful place to learn new things

Dislikes

I disliked the way of punishing others without proper reason
I disliked the rules coz there are separate rules for seniors & juniors
I disliked the management coz they didnt allow me to write the exam because i didnt paid the fees

Placement Experience:

in my college placements are good when compared to other colleges.. In my college mostly students will get a placement in 1st year coz our college had a collaboration with marseak company....Other than that for the next three years only 10 of the students will get a placement while marseak will recruit 50 students from 1st year

A detailed review about AMET university

Likes

The staff are quite better compared to other colleges
Their infrastructure are good but not maintained properly
Hospitality is good but mess food is bad

Dislikes

Labs are not very much good not properly maintained
Their fees structure are very high compared to other colleges this course is very less fees
Senior junior relationship is quiet bad in this university

Placement Experience:

The placement are good compared to other universities they give many companies like mersk v ship wallem shipping tvs motors mahindra and mahindra company flipkart and more companies are there in our university

The life stimulation

Likes

Good atmosphere out there with pretty decent campus
If you can maintain CGPA, placement is for sure
Extra course are also offers like open BBA which is very handy and useful

Dislikes

To get permissions for leave and gate pass is big challenge
No much events to explore and enjoy university life
Not that great infrastructure to look after and even the mess food could be even better

Placement Experience:

As I mentioned before , placement is the main strength of our university, all need is to maintain CGPA. Most of the students get placed in 3 year itself and placement drives are done throughout the year .

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. Many well versed companies are recruiting cadets and they are providing placements for many years. Most of them are getting placed in a 1st year itself and they are also providing required training for cadets.

A Perfect College Life For A Cadet To Become An Officer.

Likes

The food they provide in the college mess is extremely outstanding. The hostels are also good. The college is placed in a green environment. The girls to boys ratio is less due to less awareness about this field among the society.
All the faculties are expert and has done PhD or are Captains and Chief Engineers those who has quit sailing. They provide a great knowledge and are always available to clear your doubts.
The placement is almost 100% as they provide sponsorships in AMET IST MAERSK Centre of Excellence.

Dislikes

The college AMET IST which is a Branch of AMET for MAERSK selected cadets is new so its under construction. So the infrastructure is not that good.
Less Sports facilities are available, also the sports that are available in the campus are not with good infracstructure.

The placement is given to students before entering the college itself i.e., AMET IST MCE college. The placement is given by MAERSK if they clear AMET CET exam , IMUCET , MAERSK interview and other necessary requirements. So the placement is 100%.

Likes

Good enviornment and help ful staff with all requirements
The teachers are too friendly they just support you at every time
All other students are good behaviour and overall it’s a good college

Dislikes

Management is too weak of this college they even don’t have control over students
Attendance is very big problem in this university
All notices are provided very late and no communication between students and staff

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Is too good in future the mechanical engine makers and engineers they had a large opportunity of jobs in India and outer country such as Russia and all. Which makes this branch more powerful

What is the best way to get from Chennai Central to AMET University?

The best way to travel from Chennai Central to AMET University is via an auto/bus.
You can board a bus from Chennai Central to Parrys Bus Stand. From the Parrys Bus Stand, you can avail of Bus 109 which goes through Kanathur. It will take you 45 minutes to reach the AMET campus in this way.
