Indian Maritime University (IMU) has released the third admission list for undergraduate (UG) programs (B.Tech, B.Sc., DNS) through the IMU CET 2024 counselling process. Candidates who find their names on the list should accept the allotted seat by July 31st and participate in the certificate verification process scheduled from July 30th to August 2nd, 2024. Qualified candidates will be allotted seats based on the rank, social category, availability of seats, and preference submitted by them. The IMU counselling registration fee is Rs 10,000 and seat acceptance fee is Rs 30,000.
Earlier, the Indian Maritime University (IMU) has announced the IMU CET 2024 results online on their official website. These results came in the form of separate rank lists for Undergraduate, MBA, and MTech programs. You can also access your individual rank card by logging in with your credentials. Candidates who appeared in the IMU CET exam 2024 held on June 8 will now be able to check the qualifying status through the official website – imu.edu.in. A total of 14,360 candidates have been offered admission into UG programmes this year.

IMU CET 2024 exam has been conducted successfully on June 08, 2024. The test has been conducted in online mode. The question paper was set in English language only. The eligibility criteria to appear in IMU CET 2024 exam are different for all courses. For BSc, BTech, and 1-year DNS courses, you must clear class 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks and 50% aggregate marks in English. If you opt for MSc, the minimum qualifying marks should be 55% aggregate, whereas for MBA, it is 50%.

IMU CET 2024 Admit Card
IMU has released IMU CET 2024 Admit Card on May 28, 2024. Candidates are required to log in using their application/registration number and password in order to download their admit cards. Follow the below instructions to download the admit card:

IMU CET 2024 Counselling
IMU CET 2024 Counselling process includes –
- The candidates who are shortlisted (either in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd list) would be required to confirm their seats by paying the fee. This seat allotment would be provisional and candidates will be required to carry the provisional allotment letter during the document verification process.
- Counseling would be done in online mode and candidates would not be required to present themselves for the counseling at some center.
- Seat allotment would be done on the basis of the candidate’s choices, availability of seats, academic merit (as IMU CET 2024 has been canceled) and his suitability based on physical, medical, and other related standards. The decision of the IMU CET 2024 exam conducting authority would deem to be final in this regard.

Ques: Is IMU CET held twice a year?
Ans: All admissions to the various UG and PG programmes of the IMU and its Affiliated Institutes will be through All-India Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted every year.
Ques: What is the age limit for admission through IMU CET 2024?
Ans: As per the tentative dates IMUCET 2024 it is expected to be conducted in the month of June 20. The upper limit for IMU CET is 25 years and minimum age is 17 years as on August 1st 2022. The candidate should have at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2.

Ques: Can I get any concession fee as a reserved category candidate for IMU CET 2024?
Ans: Yes, you will get a concession fee of INR 300 as an application fee. IMU CET 2024 application fee is Rs 1000 however, reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 700 only.

Ans: NO, you cannot get direct admission in DNS Colleges without clearing or giving any Entrance Exams. In order to get admission in DNS Courses, you have to give IMU CET Entrance exam to get admission in reputed Colleges in India.

WHEN IS THE ENTRANCE EXAM
The official examination date for IMU CET 2023 has been announced. IMU CET 2023 has been scheduled to be conducted on June 10, 2023. You can submit your application till May 18, 2023.
IMU CET is conducted at the exam centers located in about 37 cities in India. Students are allowed to select three examination centers of their choice during the registration process. IMU CET 2023 will conducted on June 10, 2023. To prepare for this examination, you must be aware of the exam syllabus and pattern, prepare a study plan according to the time available and your current level of knowledge, follow the study plan, practice solving previous year papers or mock tests.
The application process for IMU CET 2023 has begun on April 14, 2023. The last date to submit applications for this examination is May 18, 2023. You can submit your application now through the application portal available on the website of IMU.
To apply for lateral entry in the B.Tech Marine Engineering program you must have completed dipoma in engineering with at least 60% marks. Admission is offered based on the merit of IMU CET followed by counseling.
IMU CET application fee once paid are not refundable in any case.
The official notification for IMU CET 2023 is yet to be released. However, the registration process for IMU CET generally starts in the month of March.
