Review for HIMT Marine College Chennai

Likes

The college is well structured and have so many labs like VR lab , Simulator lab , swimming pool , Ship in campus etc
The Facility and the instructors teaches very well and encourage us to complete the syllabus
The college is in a very good area with no pollution or any other disturbance for studies

Dislikes

The college is very good there not any thing bad about it
The weather conditions in chennai are little hot which will be difficult for students in summer
In rainy season there will be more cyclones and rains then usually

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is very good , there so many companies that comes to our college the give sponsorship to the students from 3 semester the students from bsc are eligible and for GME , ETO From the 1 semester they are eligible.

Best institute for placement as well as training and the infrastructure of the college is very beautiful, best faculty

Likes

The best part of this institute is the discipline and punctuality
Good instrument and equipment for training purposes
The accomodation is very clean and beautiful

Dislikes

I have nothing to say about bad things because everything is good in this college
Bad weather is most concern but also Greenery and beaches is good for vibe
Humidity is too much something in a season

Placement Experience:

In second semester you will surely get placed and there are many companies which comes for the placement like Maersk, Mediterranean shipping company, Wallem, MOL, Synergy, Tom tankers and many companies visit here and take students

HIMT IS BEST GME COLLEGE IN INDIA

Likes

During My GME Course I felt good about Environment, which feels me like HOME , All students from different part of India which make much more Social interaction between Students and Faculty.
Grate about HIMT is Best Teaching and Training, Experience Facultys Guid the students Exactly towards the gole By sharing knowledge and skills.
A/C classroom, High-class play ground, Gym also Indore game, Canteen Best Hostel all in one shelter we can Happily complete our course.

Dislikes

Little away from city, location Kalpakkam

Placement Experience:

HIMT have 100% placements record also good thing about HIMT after completion of course also they call back the non placed students if they are not placed so this no MTI's will do, I also got placements from college, also HIMT having all Post sea courses all DG aproved .

My great experience in HIMT

Likes

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

The great experience at HIMT

Likes

College is in good environment and all are equal
Good faculties and teaching is in good manner
Infrastructure is good and AC class rooms and good food

Dislikes

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is good they provided 2 semesters actually i have completed gme course first semester in 6 months and 2nd semester is end of the course. I didn't get any difficulty level on my timing of exams

They should give a placement for every 4 months once untill get a job . Good for placement opportunities Good for training in safety of working in ship. Good for learning about marine enginnering. Good labs and good practical knowledge we should get form here.

I like the overall campus I was a great experience
Faculty is also good with good nature and knowledge
Infrastructure is also amazing you get everything you want

Dislikes

The wardens are strict more to us the other students
Sometimes the food is not well prepared as expected
Campus is too big so we to go far away for the things

After the final semester students are eligible to get the placement after some months Anglo eastern,great eastern and more but I made in this college ESM Package is depend on the position 100% placement form this college

mess, laundry, the training keeping in mind the profession we have ahead, opportunities to shine through your hobbies
the impeccable views from hostel, the environmental beauty of the campus
the bond we make with seniors and the batchmates, the helpful nature of everyone around us

Dislikes

training is very hard in first year, there are too many rules that should be adhered to
lack of sleep to cadets, lack of healthcare facilities,
too many formalities to be carried out before performing some basic things like going out of the campus

Placement Experience:

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Campus area is big and its beautiful its also very clean
Placement is 100% there is different department which help you to get placement
Teaching staff is very good you are so very strick

College is very streak and you have to maintain a proper decorum

This is one of the finest and hardest course because it mentally strange student there have to have a proper decorum they are lot of rules and the hostel work on hierarchy system we conduct PT every morning for 1 hour

COIMBATORE MARINE COLLEGE TRUTHS

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Dislikes

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management
