IMU days

This course was my personal interest. My brother-in-law is a chief officer. He very much inspired me to get into this feild. The subject and curriculum were a bit tough, but if we studied harder we will get to clear. Examination are needed for our progress, in this case IMU did a very good job for thier student.

So many companies have come to my college and been interviewed me. Companies like Andromeda, synergy, fleet management, Anglo-eastern, New shipping kaisha, Tci seaways, msc, msi, mearsk, chevaron, shell stena etc. I have been selected by anderomeda, fleet management, Anglo-eastern and tci seaway. Every compare have their own criteria to get selected. First we have to attend the written test, if we got selected from the cut-offs we'll face their basic interview whi h includes technical, psychometric, hr questions.

So many placement companies are coming to our college. Companies like Synergy, Anglo-eastern, Andromeda, Fleet Management, New shipping kaisha, stena, shell, chevaron, TCI seaways, MSC, MSI, Maersk etc. Package they offered was based on they profile and ship. Around 20000-45000 were offered from every company. Above 50% of student gets placement.

The total amount which i paid for this course is 375000 which includes hostel accommodation, food, uniforms, hospitality materials, caution deposit etc. There was also there students who paid different amount by their categories, scholarship and company. For a price of 375000, it is very affordable for getting this education at this cost.

Campus life was so exciting. As a freshman to study new thing was so nice for me. Everyone in the campus was friendly and nice to each other. We'll get our materials from the library. Smart class was very useful for showing videos. All the class are air conditioned. They supported talented sport persons to get involved in their university wise competition. Clubs like for cleanings the beach, surrounding, against drugs usage, against food wastage were there.

Hostel rooms were like hostel itself. 4 person have to share a room with 4 bed. 1 common bathroom are provided to everyone. Mess food was scheduled in a week but in my opinion the food quality was poor. And mess should take care of cleanliness.

I applied in this college because mainly the syllabus and education 1st came from this college. As compared to other private college's imu chennai was so affordable for the everyone to get this education at this course. I Applied for tolani and got selected but the fee they were demanding was not applicable for me financially. Then i applied for imu chennai a got selected by my 12th aggregate.

At the time of examination as well as at the academic periods faculties was very helpful. Most of the faculties are very experienced in this field so as they give as more and much useful information. Captain Kishore sir was so adorable in his teaching. Whatever doubt there was he would help everyone. They will conduct internal for our semester exam preparation which was to be needed to everyone to get higher marks and progress.

Yes, they provide mock test and mock interview for the placement practice. They were so helpful foe everyone to get experience. For the semester examination, they provide 2 internals and class test per semester for progree and marks. To get Admission we have to write a IMUCET examination which comes every year. Highest rank holder's get at the top imu college.
