Course Curriculum Overview

The course contacts all aspects of marine, which includes marine machinery, sensors, automation, saftey, firefighting etc...the faculties are really experienced and their experience make us excel in academics, the inspirational stories and experiences of the faculties are very much motivational and encouraging

Internships Opportunities

College has took us to LNT shipyard, power plant visits,various industries and many more. The ship visit was one of the most beautiful experience in my career, it helped me to experience the ship for the first time

Placement Experience

I have been placed at Bernhard scult ship management through himt, the role of the himt and facilities for this achievement was really mentionable. Almost all shipping companies came to recruit cadets from himt.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have applied for the course of electro technical officer, The total course fee was two lakh ninty five thousand which includes hostel fees,food, uniform,books,basic saftey training and operational level high voltage course.

Campus Life

The college celebrates almost all festivals amoung the cadets and facilities, we also have all type of game activities and play grounds inside the campus. Swimming and indoor games are also available.

Hostel Facilities

In one room we are having 4 members with individual study tables and cupboards, the room is attached with two restrooms. Everything is clean and pleasant inside.The corridors and campus area are under cctv surveillance

Admission

HIMT is one of the finest institution in south india where they value saftey and punctuality as the key to success. Rather than any other institutions the training we get in himt is top class, placement records of the institution is the best evidence for this.

Faculty

In himt we have 40:1 of faculty for theory hours and 8:1 for practical hours, the faculties here are really supporting us to get placed.They shape us to a good mariner which is best for a shipping company and many are being placed.

Interview Experience

I was having one round of online interview which contains 60 questions and one hour time , after passing the test an online interview was there . The test was related with electrical basics , electronics, verbal etc..

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

For ETO there is sponsorship as well as placements. If you are sponsored by any company you don't need to attend any placement drives. But if you are not sponsored they were providing placements in the first month onwards. The shipping companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC GOOD WOOD, MARSHALL, and many more are taking the cadets. Almost 90 % are placed before leaving the campus. As far as lam concerned I will go for sailing after the company's induction programme.

Life that I lived in HIMT was good.

Placement Experience:

The placement were depending upon the performance of the cadet, however the cadets are the HIMT will give chances will be given to atten the interview , there we should perform. So the placements entirely lies in our hands only.

Placement Experience:

For my Course, placements from top companies like Maersk,BSM,MSC have taken in 23 students already with 2 months left for course completion. Roughly 70% of the students are placed. We had placement offers from the above companies from the starting of the course itself.

As a first-generation mariner, I've always wanted to join the merchant navy. After joining himt for the gme course I came to know of the dicipline that is being practised here. The faculty and the infrastructure here are of the highest quality. The exams and internals and orals conducted during the course will definitely help you in preparation for the class 4 examination

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

I have applied to Angelo eastern. But the exam date is after HIMT's joining date. I have already sponsored by a shipping company called BSM, they told me to take the course from this college and complete the course with minimum 65% aggregate. I have applied to Angelo eastern before this sponsorship exam. I got this sponsorship and they told me to study in this college.
