Course Curriculum Overview

In gme we have to study Full marine engineering subject which includes electrical part to and totally 2 semesters and it was conducted by college.we need to dedicate ourself for study and keep on learning everyday and focus more on gaining practical knowledge plays a vital role in gme course

Placement Experience

By every month one company will come for placement and until now the companies likegoodwood eastaway bw dynocom tankers d'amico Marshall sanmar for various streams of maritime studies both engine and deck side And I got placed in synergy maritime by god's grace and keep on trying and make good yourself in academics they companies always look for people in good academics as well as extra curricularm

Fees and Financial Aid

395000 is the course fees and 20000 for caustion deposit and it includes the stcw course fees and hostel fees and uniforms and it also includes the defects made by a student it will make deduct the amount from caution deposit

Campus Life

The campus conduct technical fest like paper presentation and the students participates represent the College and many quizz and other sports events will be held like swimming competition and debate and other sports activities like volleyball football cricket and other extra curricularm activities will be conducted by college

Hostel Facilities

There are five hostel blocks for students and in a room 4 students and with attached washrooms and it good to with multicultural people from our country and we have to make our rooms like on board and the laundry facilities is also available we are allowed to give laundry 2 times in a week

Hostel Fee: INR 55000 per year

Admission

The student must have minimum 65% of PCM And 65 from their bachlor degree if it's gme We need to check the date of application from himt website and we need to pay application fees and the interview will conducted by the college and we have to clear the interview and after interview the selection mail will come to our mail

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:40 and for practical it is 1:8 it good to learn The faculty those who are teaching are experienced chief engineers and master mariners and Senior eto The faculty method of teaching is good and they share their knowledge and experience as well as critical situation and how the solved

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

For ETO there is sponsorship as well as placements. If you are sponsored by any company you don't need to attend any placement drives. But if you are not sponsored they were providing placements in the first month onwards. The shipping companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC GOOD WOOD, MARSHALL, and many more are taking the cadets. Almost 90 % are placed before leaving the campus. As far as lam concerned I will go for sailing after the company's induction programme.

Life that I lived in HIMT was good.

Placement Experience:

The placement were depending upon the performance of the cadet, however the cadets are the HIMT will give chances will be given to atten the interview , there we should perform. So the placements entirely lies in our hands only.

As a first-generation mariner, I've always wanted to join the merchant navy. After joining himt for the gme course I came to know of the dicipline that is being practised here. I have applied to Angelo eastern. But the exam date is after HIMT's joining date. I have already sponsored by a shipping company called BSM, they told me to take the course from this college and complete the course with minimum 65% aggregate.
