Journey of a Cadet in Himt Merchant navy

Likes

Teachings and faculty is well educated and expert in their subjects. All the captains help in interviews exams and to get sponsorship
The Campus has newly built hostels and sports infrastructure The campus is also well maintained. With latest equipment like VR , main mast, ship in campus
All the cadets in the institution gets to apply for many major companies and the placement rate is impressive

Dislikes

The food is not up to the mark . North indian student may have some difficulty at the start but all over they are trying to improve and has improved from last sem
Phoned are not allowed in academic hours which is both good and a bad thing
The boy and girls ratio is very uneven but it happen in all the maritime college

Placement Experience:

My course student comes for training after getting placed but for course like bsc and btech u can get start the interviews after second year Many company visit the campus like v ship , synergy , dynacom, imac, maersk , wallem and many more Till the end of the course almost every cadet gets placed and those who dont gets collenge support after the course After getting tge degree u can start joining ship from the company you are placed

All About HIMT

Likes

Cleanliness and maintenance are two good factors,,the hostel and campus is really well maintained and cleaned
Classroom facilities are good.Air Conditioned classrooms and interactive boards are provided
Provides medical assistance.Doctors are available at morning and evening timings

Dislikes

Less hours of free time. Time managing is difficult
Limited leaves allowed, if they approve for leave also we need to stay back after semester and we should pay 700 per day which is most difficult
Food sometimes are not properly cooked .

Placement Experience:

College has quite good placements,, the one who cleared all his subjects without getting an arrear will get placed by companies coming and they will have an interview section also.The one who performs will get placed,,anyway they are providing placements like almost 85 to 95% students are getting placed

Good facilities. Very supportive and helpful.
Good placement record. Placement team is also good
Very neat campus and good atmosphere for studies.

Dislikes

Mess good very average and they try well for it.
The shore leave is limited, and should report at time.
Class timing is very long and wide.breaks are very strict.

Placement Experience:

Many companies are coming like MSC, BSM, Maserk, OSM etc many more are there. Which give good placement record for thr college. There is a good team for the placement and they help us to achieve our goals.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The college holds a strict discipline and time management system. Also they were making sure that each and every student is obeying this rules.
The infrastructure is top notch as far as a maritime college is considered. Ship in campus, virtual reality labs and many more will provide more technical knowledge to the cadets
The faculties are all experienced and their way of teaching is also very good

Dislikes

Class timing is little bit hectic and one class is 2 hrs long without any breaks
Hostel room is having 4 persons in each room, so the person who is sleeping down will not get any air from the fan
The food is repeated every week, and they will allow only 30 mints for eating food as well as resting combined

For ETO there is sponsorship as well as placements. If you are sponsored by any company you don't need to attend any placement drives. But if you are not sponsored they were providing placements in the first month onwards. The shipping companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC GOOD WOOD, MARSHALL, and many more are taking the cadets. Almost 90 % are placed before leaving the campus. As far as lam concerned I will go for sailing after the company's induction programme.

Life that I lived in HIMT was good.

Likes

The amenities in the college is good and more.
Good placement records has been shown here
Good drive and teaching methords are here

Dislikes

Here timing is too strict here like sharp

Placement Experience:

The placement were depending upon the performance of the cadet, however the cadets are the HIMT will give chances will be given to atten the interview , there we should perform. So the placements entirely lies in our hands only.

Best college for ETO in South India

The college offers a conductive learning environment knowledgeable faculty.fauc
Campus Life was lovely with plenty of events that encouraged students participation and it was easy to make friends.
The faculty was well-versed in their subjects with most having experience which added a practical dimension to the learning process.

Placement Experience:

Most of the Hindustan institute of maritime training cadets gets the placement in the campus itself even if the cadets who are not placed faculty get intouch with them and call them for interviews with new company

The Best College for ETO Course In South India

Likes

The college provides good atmosphere for studies, practicals
The infrastructure and Overall facilities are excellent
Faculties are knowledgeable and supportive

Dislikes

No leniency for leaves and limited holidays

Placement Experience:

For my Course, placements from top companies like Maersk,BSM,MSC have taken in 23 students already with 2 months left for course completion. Roughly 70% of the students are placed. We had placement offers from the above companies from the starting of the course itself.

Best pre placement training, faculties are really supporting us to be placed
Best lab facilities including virtual reality and other stimulations
Ship in campus available for realtime ship experience

Placement Experience:

I have been placed at Bernhard scult ship management through himt, the role of the himt and facilities for this achievement was really mentionable. Almost all shipping companies came to recruit cadets from himt.

On of the best college to study

Likes

The discipline of the college is too good
College teachers are well educated with good experience as chef engineers
