In one room we are having 4 members with individual study tables and cupboards, the room is attached with two restrooms. Everything is clean and pleasant inside.The corridors and campus area are under cctv surveillance

My experience during GME course in HIMT

Hostel Facilities:

Regarding hostel our collage has 5 blocks . Four cadets can occupy 1 room with attached bathroom and space for study . Himt has intercultural facilities where we can mingle with different culture all over India .

Life of graduate marine engineer in himt

Hostel Facilities:

There are five hostel blocks for students and in a room 4 students and with attached washrooms and it good to with multicultural people from our country and we have to make our rooms like on board and the laundry facilities is also available we are allowed to give laundry 2 times in a week

Hostel Facilities:

Being a residential course it's mandatory for all the students to stay in hostels within the campus, we have 5 hostel blocks and 4 people share a room, we get to live with students from various parts of India and it's good to socialize with different cultural personalities, we have sufficient recreational facilities like table tennis, carroms, chess within the hostel blocks and playgrounds for outdoor games like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball. Swimming pools. On an overall hostel facilities are excellent

Journey through 1 year of GME @ HIMT College

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facilities are good, each room is shared by 4 inmates, where we get to live with intercultural personalities as it is onboard ship, we like the vibe in our campus and hostels, 24hrs water and electricity is available, we also have water coolers and entertainment facilities in all blocks. Mess room food is also hygienic and good quality, we get sufficient quantity of food, we have mixed cuisine of both south and north indian styles .

Likes

The Galley or the dining hall is quite spacious and the food is also good on an average day.

Dislikes

Certain food items are limited for each student so cannot always eat with the heart content
Cadets are allowed shore leave only once a week that too only for few hours
It is prohibited to bring food items inside the college campus so we can hardly taste anything outside the college kitchen

Hostel Facilities:

Merchant Navy is residential course so you have stay inside the campus hostel. Each room has 4 cadets. There are 2 bunk beds , a study table big enough to accommodate 3 people studying, two separate rooms for shower and lavatory, two basin two mirrors and 4 cupboards. The food in the galley is quite average on a daily basis however the menu changes everyday. On special occasions, some special items are made. However dining times are very strict and no one will get food after the alloted time.

Dislikes

The food was good but becoming worse now
Wardens are very strict and involve in unnecessary matters

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel are good, but not excellent. In one room there are 4 persons with an attached bathroom facility and the hostels are strictly maintained by the warden and he is very strict and speaks with no logic.

College has one of the bust infrastructure with great hostel having rooms with attached bathrooms . The college has total of 6 blocks all with standard rooms providing great environment for studies And enjoyment

It has good hostel accomodation and good hostel food is provided

Hostel Facilities:

Himt is providing good hostel facilities and accommodation as it is residential course, i am personally satisfied with the hostel and accommodation and each room is having attached bathroom where in each room 4 person are allowed to stay, and then gally food is good where different varieties of food is severed each day and weekly twice non veg is provided and twice egg is provided
