The placement of this college is very good , there so many companies that comes to our college the give sponsorship to the students from 3 semester the students from bsc are eligible and for GME , ETO From the 1 semester they are eligible.

HIMT have 100% placements record also good thing about HIMT after completion of course also they call back the non placed students if they are not placed so this no MTI's will do, I also got placements from college, also HIMT having all Post sea courses all DG aproved .

They should give a placement for every 4 months once untill get a job . Good for placement opportunities Good for training in safety of working in ship. Good for learning about marine enginnering. Good labs and good practical knowledge we should get form here.

College has quite good placements,, the one who cleared all his subjects without getting an arrear will get placed by companies coming and they will have an interview section also.The one who performs will get placed,,anyway they are providing placements like almost 85 to 95% students are getting placed

For ETO there is sponsorship as well as placements. If you are sponsored by any company you don't need to attend any placement drives. But if you are not sponsored they were providing placements in the first month onwards. The shipping companies like MAERSK LINE, BSM, MSC GOOD WOOD, MARSHALL, and many more are taking the cadets. Almost 90 % are placed before leaving the campus. As far as lam concerned I will go for sailing after the company's induction programme.

For my Course, placements from top companies like Maersk,BSM,MSC have taken in 23 students already with 2 months left for course completion. Roughly 70% of the students are placed. We had placement offers from the above companies from the starting of the course itself.

As of my electro technical officer course. We are eligible to attend interview form the day one ..as the company approaches based on the eligibility criteria of the company they send the students. Companies visited our college are maersk, bsm , marshall , good wood ,thome, osm and many more. 100 percent placement

From first semester end only we are eligible for placements, various companies like Goodwood, Damico, Eastaway, Dynacom, Sanmar, Bergebulk, comes for placements at HIMT College. Myself I'm placed at Synergy Marine Group . Our first 6 months is training period and during that period we get a stipend of 50000 per month. After clearing the 4thengineer competency our salary increases to 1.5 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs per month and once you become chief engineer you can draw a salary of about 15 lacs per month. You also get an NRE status of you sail forore tan 6months in a financial year. Around 85% of students get placed before passing out and the remaining in another 6 months time.

As I mentioned early, there are lot of placement opportunities with HIMT college, Many big companies like MOL, Synergy, Goodwood, Eastaway, Damico, Dynacom, Sanmar, ASP ships, Western Shipping,Berge Bulk, Marlow often recruits cadets from HIMT college, in my batch 30 are already placed out of 40, who are passing out in August, remaining cadets are lined up for other companies visiting the campus in coming months. So on an overall HIMT is a safe place to begin your Maritime Career.

From 3year or 5th semester for engineering cadets and 2year or 4th semester for Bsc Cadets. All the major and famous shipping companies visit our campus from time to time to take interviews and hire cadets. Companies namely MOLTA, MOLMI, FLEET , EASTAWAY, VR MARITIME, d'AMICO , MSC , MAERSK, PIL etc etc and many more reputed companies. The lowest they get paid depends on the company however lowest can be 350$/mo and the highest for a cadet can be 900$/mo. Almost 80-90% of the cadets gets placed every year. Our batch got a 100% campus placement record. I got my job through campus placement.
