Dislikes
- Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year. So many companies in diverse fields visit the campus and most of the students get offers. My plans after getting a degree are mainly to get a good placement.

Students completing at least one diploma became eligible for internships and job offers.
The faculty train them according to industry need before a job interview.
Many companies like Syngenta, TATA, flutura, etc. are hiring partners in this.
this degree is in the initial phase so the highest package is 12LPA and the average is 6LPA.

The placement process takes place in September and interviews are held in the first week of December.
Placements are best in the country.
The highest package this year was 1.2 cr domestic given by aphagrep to an Mtech cse. The average is around 30-35 lpa. Almost all students get placed.

Actually, this course is self-paced so Students start getting campus placements after completing at least one diploma, but those who take all the courses available for the semester can get campus placement from the 4th semester, actually, this course started recently and no further placements and package details are available yet.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. There are around 500 companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, shell, Schlumberger, etc. visit every year and they made a total offer of around 1500. In 2022, the average package was around 21 LPA. After getting my degree, my dream is to become a software developer.

Placements vary from branch to branch. Our college attracts more than 300 companies every year constantly. must say around 50-60 percent of people crack on-campus placements and others mostly get a job in off-campus opportunities.

At the end of 3rd year, there is an 8-month internship
there are so many students who are getting placed every week
as the program is now the first batch to complete BS is yet to be passed and after that, we can talk about the numbers

Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose the MS course from the Indian institute of technology Madras with a specialization in Mechanical engineering because I am also a student of mechanical engineering in my bachelor of technology. The faculty member available in this college are very-very highly qualified and well knowledged and the ratio is about 180 teachers.
The College exams are following the semester exams pattern in which the students have to give the exams every semester to get promoted to the next sem and it is medium level hard to pass the exam.

The students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester and placements happen in the 8th semester.
Companies from various industries visit, the number is around 250+, to recruit 900 candidates.
The highest package is 80 Lakhs and the avaerage package is 12 Lakhs.

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
