A journey to the Top: My experience at IITM

I choose this course because I had a dream to study at IIT but I didn't qualify JEE exam then I came to know about this course and there is no competition so I joined this course and more factors why I joined this course : Reputation: IITM is one of the top engineering institutes in India and is well-regarded globally for its high-quality education and research. By obtaining a degree from IITM, you will have a strong foundation and an impressive credential on your resume. Faculty: IITM has talented and experienced faculty who are dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive education. Networking opportunities: IITM, is home to a large and diverse community of students, faculty and alumni. By studying at IITM, you will have the opportunity to build valuable connections and establish relationships that can be beneficial throughout your career. The difficulty level of the exam is average if learn all the topics covered in lectures you can get handsome marks easily.

Companies that offer internships are Universite de Montreal offers Undergraduate Researcher Internship, Tata Communications, Jabroyd offers data science internships, Coding Age as a developer, Tata advance systems Limited, LTIMindtree offers Software development engineer interns, JPMorgan Chase and co offered Software development engineer interns, and there are so many companies like NEXGEN Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., Syngenta, etc

Actually, this course is self-paced so Students start getting campus placements after completing at least one diploma, but those who take all the courses available for the semester can get campus placement from the 4th semester, actually, this course started recently and no further placements and package details are available yet.

The cost of study in IITM as a BS degree student is very friendly because everyone gets guaranteed scholarships according to their annual family income and it is funded by many companies who sponsor IITM, recently a new scholarship was announced by the IITM that is Kargil scholarship under this 100 students of IITM BS degree get 100% scholarship whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum and based on merit. Many students have to get an internship in different companies but as this course was started in 2020 so no data is available for any job IITM has already announced a separate placement cell for the IITM BS degree.

The annual fest at the campus are, Marghazi it happens every year on 2 January another fest name Paradox it's a three days fest conducted every year in May month, The institute has a range of sports facilities and equipment, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a cricket ground, among others. In addition to physical fitness, IITM also recognizes the importance of developing students' creative and leadership skills. The institute offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including music, dance, theatre, art, and debate clubs. There are several student-run organizations and committees that organize events and activities, such as cultural festivals name Pravaha, tech society name Cosmos and social initiatives.

Eligibility of the Course: Anyone who has passed the 12th board exam or any other exams equivalent to 12th , irrespective of their academic background (means arts, science and commerce) are eligible, and person of any age, either you are a working professional or you are a student you are eligible for this course. You can find the application form, application fee and application dates on IITM BS degree official website: study.iitm.ac.in/ds/ There are no such things as a reservation in this course because no any competition exists in this course only you have to qualify the exam with minimum eligible marks required for your category and then you can join this course but in this course scholarship is given on the basis of your family annual income and this is for all category students.
