Course Curriculum Overview
Medical Science and Technology is a field which is dominated by women and I wanted to be a part of domination. This was like not main but perhaps one of the reasons of choosing this course and college over others.
Placement Experience
Apollo Hospital to Greens and many medical and hospital which are engaged in hospitals or building technology that supports it. Our course is still not that old and in the batches that have passed out so far, I think the average stands at some 10 lakhs or so.
Fees and Financial Aid
In first year i paid around 1.1 lakhs and this year I paid 1.15 lakhs. Hostel fees is quite cheap here as it just 16000 per semester and mess fees is 22000 per semester. So all in all around 2-2.5 lakhs is what one has to pay to study BS in Medical Science and Technology.
Campus Life
Ofcourse we have both technical and annual fest at our campus. Very interesting name is given to our technical fest as it is called Shaastra and our cultural fest is Saarang. Both are astonishing and besides that we have an infrastructure that is no match. Forget about how big it is but we have almost all the facilities inside that we don't have to go outside of the college for any basic needs.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostels are good and there are four girls hostel in all. I live in Swarnamukhi hostel which is a two seater non AC hostel. The fees is just 16k a semester and 24k for the mess. Washrooms and mess are common but rooms are sufficient in size.
Admission
Admission process is JEE mains and thankfully there are just 40 seats in our course. 25 of those are for general category and rest 15 of reserved and other categories. So, only the best 25 can come here and this makes our college quite competitive.
Faculty
At IIT Madras faculties are those who have done their PHD as below that none stands eligible. Apart from the syllabus what new do they bring to the table is checked and then probably they are hired. So, our of all I thinks Miss Neha Chandak is my favourite faculty by a distance margin.
Night Life
As I have mentioned all basic needs are fulfilled at the campus and the only time we go out is to watch movies and Maaya Jaal multiplex is at some distance from the college. Rest we have 5-6 cafeterias inside and gym and sporting facilities at our campus are endless.
