The NEET UG results are expected to be released on or before July 20. The cutoff for the 85% state quota seats in Tamil Nadu will be released by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu.

• The Qualifying cutoff in NEET 2026 is expected to be around 137-142 for UR/EWS and 106-111 for OBC/SC/ST candidates.
• The cutoff for the general category is expected to be around 550-590 marks and 12,000-25,000 rank, followed by 535-575 marks and 18,000-35,000 rank for the BC Category.
• Colleges such as Madras Medical College and Stanley Medical College in Chennai are expected to have higher cutoff scores of around 655+ and 645+.
• In 2025, the official closing marks for the general and BC categories were 538 and 525-530, respectively.
• The official opening ranks for the Madras Medical College and the Stanley Medical College were 24 and 79, respectively, in 2025.

Last year, the NEET qualifying cutoff was 686-144 for the UR/EWS category and 143-113 for the OBC, SC, and ST categories.

The Re NEET 2026 expected qualifying cutoff based on the previous years' trend and experts' analysis is given below:

• The qualifying cutoff for the UR/EWS categories is expected to be 137-142 as per the difficulty level of this year.
• The qualifying cutoff for the OBC/SC/ST categories is expected to be 106-111 based on experts' analysis.
