NEET 2027 Syllabus: Subject-Wise Topics, Chapter-Wise Weightage and Deleted Chapters

NEET 2027 Syllabus is prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at neet.nta.nic.in. The syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from NCERT Class 11 and 12. The official NEET 2027 syllabus PDF is yet to be released — students should currently follow the NMC-notified syllabus from December 2025, which is expected to remain unchanged for 2027.

• The NEET 2027 syllabus covers 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology).
• The syllabus comprises approximately 79 chapters: 19 in Physics, 19 in Chemistry, and 32 in Biology.
• Biology carries 360 marks out of 720 (50%) — it is the highest-weightage subject in NEET.
• The NEET 2027 syllabus is expected to remain the same as NEET 2026. No major revision has been announced by NMC as of August 2026.
• NEET 2027 will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, as confirmed by the Union Education Ministry.
• The official NEET 2027 notification is expected between October and November 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in.
• NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks are the primary source for NEET 2027 preparation across all three subjects.
