NTA has recently declared the final official syllabus for the Physics. There is no any change in the syllabus previously declared by the NMC for the NEET 2025 session. The syllabus closely aligns with the NCERT guidelines. If we see the recent year trends and analyze it, class 11 covers around 45% of the syllabus and class 12 covers nearly 55% portion of the physics syllabus with chapters like Modern Physics and Current Electricity carrying the highest weightage. The syllabus also emphasizes dimensional analysis, measurements, and numerical problem-solving, areas that form the backbone of 25%-30% of application-based questions in NEET. High-scoring areas include Optics, Thermodynamics, and Work-Energy Power.

In this article, we have shared a detailed NEET Syllabus for Physics, covering important topics, chapter-wise weightage, changes made and PYQs. Applicants by familiarizing themselves with the syllabus, you can strategize your studies to maximize your score in the physics section of NEET 2025.

NEET Physics Deleted Syllabus

There are changes to the NEET syllabus, including for physics. The National Medical Commission (NMC) and National Testing Agency (NTA) have revised the syllabus for NEET (UG) to align with updated NCERT textbooks and content being taught in various school boards. Some topics that were not part of the NCERT syllabus or not taught in schools have been removed, while core concepts remain a focus.

Major Changes:

  1. Removed Topics:
    • Topics not covered by most school boards or NCERT textbooks have been eliminated. These include some advanced or less-relevant concepts for undergraduate medical education.
  2. Updated Focus Areas:
    • Emphasis has been placed on core concepts in Physics to ensure uniformity and clarity across all boards. For example, topics from mechanics, thermodynamics, and optics have been retained with detailed subtopics.
  3. Class-Wise Syllabus Overview:
    • The syllabus is divided into Class 11 and Class 12 portions, with no significant changes in structure but some minor adjustments in content to align with NCERT.
