CUET Exam Centers List

CUET Exam Centers 2027

NTA is going to conduct CUET 2027 as a Computer Based Test (CBT) across hundreds of cities spanning all states and union territories of India. During the CUET 2027 registration process, candidates will be able to select up to 4 city preferences in order of priority from the official NTA portal. NTA will then allot one city from among the chosen preferences to each candidate based on seat availability. The specific exam venue within the allotted city will be confirmed on the CUET Admit Card 2027.

In CUET 2026, NTA allotted one of the preferred cities to 96.6% of all registered candidates, with 79% receiving their first-choice city. For candidates who were assigned a city outside their preference list, NTA also opened a brief re-allocation window that allowed them to choose from available slots in alternate cities on a first-come, first-served basis. Similar provisions are expected for CUET 2027.

The table below lists the major exam cities expected to have CUET 2027 centers, based on the CUET 2026 city list:

Center Allotment Process

CUET 2027 Exam Center Allotment Process

NTA follows a structured process for allotting exam centers to CUET 2027 candidates. Candidates select up to 4 city preferences during registration; NTA then allots one center based on seat availability. The city intimation slip is typically released before the admit card and confirms the allotted city. The specific exam venue, shift, and reporting time are printed on the CUET Admit Card 2027.

Step Activity Done By
1 Select up to 4 exam city preferences during the CUET application form Candidate
2 Process city preferences and allot one city per candidate based on seat availability NTA
3 Release city intimation slip confirming the allotted city NTA
4 Open re-allocation window (if applicable) for candidates allotted outside their preference list NTA
5 Release CUET Admit Card 2027 with final center name, address, date, and shift NTA
6 Download, verify, and print the admit card for exam day use Candidate

NTA typically releases the city intimation slip within a few weeks of the registration window closing. Candidates who are allotted a city outside their preference list should watch the official website for the re-allocation window announcement. The final exam venue is confirmed only on the CUET Admit Card 2027 - not on the city intimation slip, which shows only the allotted city.

Center Change Policy

CUET 2027 Exam Center Change: Is It Allowed?

NTA does not allow candidates to change their CUET exam center as a general rule after the admit card is released. However, NTA has historically opened a limited re-allocation window in certain years for candidates allotted cities outside their preference list. Candidates should choose their preferred cities carefully during the application process - cities closer to home reduce travel risk on exam day.

In CUET 2026, NTA opened a re-allocation window after the initial center allotment, with candidates able to choose from open slots in alternate cities on a first-come, first-served basis. Of the 16,681 candidates who applied through that window, 92% were successfully allotted their chosen alternative center, and revised admit cards were issued to them. Whether a similar window will be offered for CUET 2027 will depend on the overall allotment outcome.

Note: Candidates are strongly advised to select exam cities that are easily accessible. Once the admit card is released, the exam center details cannot normally be changed. Regularly check the official NTA CUET portal for any re-allocation window announcements after the initial allotment.
