Guidelines Shared by a CUET Qualified Student
Ques. If a candidate passed class 12 in PCM stream and wants to do BA after 12 then what domain the candidates should have chosen for CUET 2025?
Ans. you have to select subjects which were available in class 12th and change the stream accordingly. However, it’s advisable to choose English as it will be easier to prepare. Otherwise you can opt for a general test.
Ques. If a candidate wants to opt for a general test, what are the points he or she should keep in mind?
Ans. Firstly I would suggest not to opt for a general test if you want to pursue BA or Bcom from Du.
- For a B.Com, focus on finishing every chapter in Accountancy and Business Studies. Solve at least 200-300 MCQs.
- Instead of Economics, choose Physical Education. It will take less time and boost your score.
- If you are a CBSE student, prepare for your boards as best as possible.
- English is the hardest and most time-consuming. Start studying it at least 2 hours a day.
- Last but not least if you are good at any sports, dance, or yoga, just go for it. Studying is important, but your utmost motive is to get into DU, and you will get a special quota for extracurricular activities.
Ques. Does the CUET 2025 Syllabus only include the class 12th syllabus or class 11th syllabus is also included?
Ans. Class 12th is mentioned in the official notification of the CUET Syllabus. If you are preparing for CUET 2025 you will have to cover both class 11 and 12th syllabus.
Ques. Is GK or General Test mandatory for the candidates who want to pursue bachelor degree in Economics?
Ans. You will have to check the official website of the universities that you are aiming for. Suppose you want to get admission into UNIVERSITY OF HYDERABAD then you must take the General Test (Mandatory) and English.
What is the marking scheme in CUET 2025? If a candidate selects only two subjects, English and General Test, Will the overall score be out of 800 in that case as well?
Ans. The marking scheme for CUET is as follows:
- English: 200 marks
- General Test: 250 marks
- Total: 200 marks
- Overall score: 450 marks out of 800 marks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Ques. Is the Bihar board science syllabus enough for the CUET exam for a BSc?
Ans. The syllabus for Bihar Board Science is not enough for the exam when you are applying for a BSc degree. While it is good to develop a strong base in the domain subjects which include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics, you need to pair other sources of information to broaden your knowledge. Common University Entrance Test checks your analytical, logical, and reasoning skills that require an in-depth idea of the subjects.
Ques. What are the difficulty levels in the CUET exam in 2024?
Ans. The difficulty level of any exam is partly determined by your preparation and partly by the difficulty index that measures the number of questions correctly answered by the total candidates who appeared for the test. Kim Sharma a CUET Exam topper said “It is not very difficult to qualify the exam as it is not similar to JEE or NEET. However, it is not a piece of cake either.” According to Kim, if you dedicate 2 months thoroughly to CUET preparation after boards and take mock tests, you will be halfway through the syllabus. Spending time and money on coaching is what a lot of aspirants do but that is not a compulsion to score well. The only way to succeed any test is to reserve time for revision. Kim also added that she chose to buy online mock tests instead of spending on coaching and travel. While you can do things others do; it is always recommended to use your sixth sense and act as per your comfort. Kim’s subjects were History, Political Science, English, and Economics; and she secured 771/800 adhering to self-preparation mode.
