The CUET Syllabus 2026 has been released by NTA on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in, which includes 3 sections: languages, domain subjects and general test.
The total number of subjects in CUET has been reduced from 63 to 37, and electives like entrepreneurship and legal studies have been removed.
- The Section I (Language Subjects), reading comprehension carries 45 to 50% weightage, along with vocabulary, grammar and verbal ability questions.
- Section II (Domain Subjects) is based on NCERT Class 12 and includes subjects according to Arts, Science and Commerce Streams.
- The Section III (General Test) will cover G.K, Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Mental & Numerical Ability.
In CUET, Each Paper carries 50 MCQs of 250 Marks, with equal weightage of each subject, and the domain section based on NCERT.

Students registering for CUET exam are allowed to select a maximum of 6 subjects from the available 27 domain subjects during the registration. You have to take the examination for domain subjects you are interested in and 45 minutes will be allotted for each domain-specific subject chosen.
