Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) has released Round 2 seat allotment result for B.Tech courses on August 16, 2024. The result is available on the official website i. e. uptac.admission.nic.in. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University offers admission to UG programs based on CUET UG 2024 scores. AKTU Admission through CUET are conducted via UPTAC Counselling 2024. As the seat allotment result is out, now the candidates have to confirm their seats by reporting to the alloted colleges. The UPTAC counselling 2024 BTech seat matrix has been released and this year a total of 87,389 seats are available across all colleges, courses, categories and quotas. Five rounds counselling will be there with one special round.

What is UPTAC 2024?
The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission counseling, or UPTAC, is the counseling process for admission into degree-level engineering institutions and other professional colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The counseling task has been assigned to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. A total of 756 government and private institutions are participating in UPTAC 2024. The selection of candidates is based on their performance in CUET 2024. The UPTAC 2024 has five counseling rounds and two special round to fill the vacant seats.

AKTU Admissions Guidelines
The registration for AKTU admission through CUET 2024 is in online mode. The registration form is available on the official UPTAC 2024 website. The candidates applying for counseling and admission to AKTU need to remember the following points:
- Candidates who passed the qualifying exam in Uttar Pradesh or whose parents live in the state are eligible for counseling.
- If a candidate passed the qualifying exam in a state other than Uttar Pradesh, he/she must upload his/her parents' domicile certificates at registration.
- Candidates should download the application form and record the form number for further communications.
- There is no age limit for the courses addressed in the counseling.
- Accepting admission means the candidate and their parents/guardians agree to all information brochure provisions.
- Colleges, courses, and seats may change up until the counseling dates.
- After a candidate is assigned a seat, no institution or branch changes are allowed.
- Even if the candidate doesn't report for admission, the counseling fee is forfeited.
- No refunds are issued except for counseling withdrawals per schedule.
- If a candidate has completed their qualifying examination outside of U.P., they must submit a domicile certificate of their parents during registration and physical reporting.
- During the application process, candidates need to upload clear, recent color photographs and signatures. Applications with blurry photographs will not be accepted.
- In institutions affiliated with AKTU, 20% of the total seats in all courses for the first year are available for admission without reservation. These seats will be allocated based on merit in the respective examinations.
AKTU Admissions Documents Required
The essential documents during the counseling and admission process are as follows:
- Valid CUET 2024 admit card
- Valid CUET 2024 scorecard
- A copy of the UPTAC application form
- Document in support of date of birth proof
- Documents in support of educational qualification mentioned in the application
- Caste certificate, and/or PwD certificate in the prescribed format, if applicable
- Document in support of the state of domicile, if applicable

Candidates applying for lateral admission must remember the following points:
- Lateral admission seats are limited to 10% of the previous year's first-year intake in institutions/colleges.
- B. Tech students from the B.Sc. stream will be considered after Diploma students fill these seats.
- Direct admission to the second year shall not be made in B. Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B. Des./B. Voc./ MBA/MCA courses.
- Candidates with a degree from a non-U.P. college and whose parents do not reside in U.P. are ineligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Tech./ B. Pharmacy.
