The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is a one-hour, computer-based test designed for students in legal education. The Symbiosis Law entrance test provides access to four leading law schools in India (Pune, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur). Candidates aspiring to join programs offered by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to appear for the common, mandatory Computer Based Test (CBT). The programs offered includes:
- B.A LL. B (Hons)
- B.B.A LL. B (Hons)
- B.A LL. B
- B.B.A LL. B
- B.Com. LL.B (Hons)

The SLAT exam has a total of 60 questions which needs to be solved within an hour. The five sections of the SLAT exam are Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Candidates will be shortlisted for PI based on their respective Entrance Test marks. The Personal Interview will have 30 marks. Hence, the SLAT total score will be calculated on 100. There is no negetive marking in SLAT exam 2026.
If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling/submitting the application form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. SLAT results will be released on January 15, 2026. Once the SLAT results are out, the SLAT counselling will start.

SLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be considered eligible for SLAT 2026, candidates need to meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must complete the exam from a state or central-recognized board.
- Qualifying Marks: To meet the eligibility criteria for SLAT 2026 candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks in class 12 (40% for Reserved Candidates).
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for SLAT.
Note: Candidates pursuing Class 12 can also apply for SLAT 2026. However they need their Class 12 results at the time of admission to a 5-year LLB course through SLAT 2026.
Reservation Crietria for SLAT 2026
The Caste Reservation in Percentage for SLAT exam 2026 are:
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15 %
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5 %
- Differently Abled: 3 %
SLAT Registration 2026
The SLAT 2026 registration process is as follows:
- Visit the official website at SLAT 2026: slat-test.org.
- Click on 'Register'.
- Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Fill in the details requested on the page displayed.
- Click on 'Save & Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id that you have entered. Enter the 'OTP' and submit.
- After successful registration, you will get an email & SMS containing your SLAT ID and password. Use this SLAT ID for all communications regarding the SLAT 2026 entrance test / admission procedure.
- Now conclude the registration process with submission of fees.
- Save and submit the form to complete the registration process.

General Instruction to follow During SLAT Registration 2026
Some of the instructions that you must follow during SLAT registration are:
- Upload your latest scanned colour passport size photo at the time of Online Registration. (Your photograph should not be more than 06 months old).
- Ensure that the information you have filled is accurate. No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances.
- All communication with candidates will be done through the official email address (no-reply@slat-test.org / info@slat-test.org) only.
Note: Candidates should note that SLAT 2026 is only the first step. Each Symbiosis institute has its subsequent independent admission process.
SLAT Admit Card 2026
SIU will release the SLAT admit card 2026 online on Dec 11, 2025 for SLAT Test 1 and Dec 18, 2025 for SLAT Test 2. Candidates have to download the SLAT admit card and carry it to the allotted exam centre to take entry. They have to use their SLAT ID/email ID and password to login and download the SLAT 2026 admit card. On the admit card, candidates can check the allotted exam centre address, reporting time, exam date, and other important details to be followed on the day of the exam.

SLAT Result 2026
The result of SLAT 2026 will be available at slat-test.org. in the form of a scorecard on January 15, 2026. The scorecard includes the marks of the candidates in the entrance exam.
