CUET Exam Pattern 2024: NTA has revised the exam pattern for CUET UG 2024. According to the latest changes, CUET 2024 will be conducted in a hybrid mode. Subjects with over 1.5 lakh registrations will be conducted in a pen and paper mode, as OMR based test. Meanwhile, other subjects will be conducted online as computer-based test. Based on the previous year registration statistics, English, Hindi, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Political Science, History and General Test might be conducted as OMR-based tests.
CUET 2024 paper consists of three sections,
- Section 1: Language Tests, which is further divided into two sections,
- Section 1A with 13 languages and
- Section 1B with 20 languages.
- Section 2: 29 Domain-specific subjects (two new domain subjects added recently- Tourism and Fashion Studies)
- Section 3: General Test
Candidates should make sure that their subject choices match the requirements of their desired universities. This year, instead of 10, candidates can choose only 6 subjects during CUET 2024 registration. This combination might include 4 domain subjects + 1 language subject + 1 general test OR 3 domain subjects + 2 language subjects + 1 general test.
- All questions in CUET question paper are MCQs carrying 5 marks each. There is also a negative marking of -1 for each incorrect answer.
- The exam duration for each CUET subject is 45 minutes. However, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests will be conducted in 60 minutes.
- CUET 2024 total marks and exam duration differ depending on the number of subject choices by the candidate.

CUET 2024 Medium of Exam
According to the National Education Policy, NTA conducts CUET UG 2024 exam in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
