college of vocational studies honest review

Likes

teaching faculty is good, they explain stuff in detail
fests are good, it's always fun like DJs etc.

Dislikes

infrastructure could be improved, for old building the ceilings, switchboards etc.
The ACs of girls common room and canteen don't work

I wanted to join the HR field as I think I'm good at managing stuff like resolving conflicts and planning things according to everyone The curriculum is in first year is just overview and stuff it doesn't really prepare you for real world applications yet they can introduce more activities that can help us learn to manage human resources effectively haven't given any exams yet so..

My experience as a first year student in CVS, DU

Likes

The only college providing vocational courses
College has a girls common room and boys common room

Dislikes

New building has not yet been opened despite the construction has been completely
Exam timings for the students pursuing vocational course are 2:30 to 5:30 which makes it too hot in summers

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm pursuing Human resource management and as I have mentioned before CVS is the only college providing vocational courses. The reason I chose this course is it is skill based and also i wanted to have a career in HR field. The comprehensiveness and understanding of this subject is quite good, it covers topic that one studies in his or her MBA. Their are areas that need to be improved like practical applicability of the subjects that we are taught, the college should take initiatives to let students use the learnings in a real world scenario by providing them internships or by taking them to corporate visits. The exams are conducted semester wise and their difficultly level is moderate. The exam timings for vocational courses is 2:30-5:30 p.m

CVS an honest review

Likes

The faculty is really good along with the teachers. They are all professionally trained to teach college students and well qualified.The classrooms,washrooms and corridors is spacious and cleaned very frequently by the college staff .
The behaviour of the staff is great as well and the security is top notch many books are available in the library and there is ac available in common rooms which are separated for both girls and boys with clean washroom in and outside the common area

Dislikes

There might be one or two bad things about the college like management during admit card distribution or any program or function there is a ruckus and fights occur very frequently otherwise i don’t have any issue with the college

The course which I chose was HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT because I was inclined towards the effective management of people or manpower in any company about their recruitment or the job analysis etc and that has influenced my decision for the course. The teachers give real life examples and makes us perform skits to make us prepared for real life circumstances

Basic college Information

Likes

Openness and interaction with various people
Societies and opportunities.the societies being student run, their are lots of opportunities for the students .

Dislikes

Infrastructure, it seems it can be improved. The college doesn't have a auditorium
Their is not the best control over students as their aren't very big punishments for misbehaviour

My choice was simply because i wanted to At delhi University i think PHD is the qualifications to become a full time lecturar. In my course we have to study 7 subjects 3 DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC CORE 1 GENERAL ELECTIVE 1 ABILITY ENHANCEMENT COURSE. 1 SEC 1 VAC Their were more than 1 teacher for some subject . Teaching methods is quite basic and normal covering syllabus topic Their are 2 sem exams every year

I wanted bcom honours but because of newly introduced cuet and preference list it went somewhere else but after joining and taking classes I kinda liked it and want to pursue it further. I got interest in learning more.

COLLEGE OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES (A NEW WORLD)

Likes

Social life of the college was very amazing I loved this as I haven't made such a group before this.
College sports facilities a very big ground and very good facilities in sports room

Dislikes

Administration is little bit slow in case of physical visit
Security is little bit less the security guard is not too active

Placement Experience:

3rd year students are eligible for campus placements The college offers on campus placements to the students . Highest package offerd in year 2022 was 12 lakhs and average package is 6 to7 lakhs In 2022 almost 20% students got placed I am also pursuing company secretary course side by side and A graduate with HRM will be very helpful in getting a job after CS

Matter of college life

Likes

College societies are very good and it has the best campus life.
Library and ac facilities are also good.

Dislikes

Faculty is not so good. They don't come to class most of the time
Attendance policy is the worst here as people have to sign bonds and then get the admit card

Placement Experience:

The placement facilities of my college is very good. A lot of companies visit our college. People can apply for the jobs from the 5th semester. Highest package offer last year was 31 lpa and average is about 7 lpa. The cgpa of students must be more than 7

Why to choose Delhi university

Likes

I liked the environment of the college. It's really good.
No ragging at all. Seniors are really friendly.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not that good compare to other north campus colleges

Placement Experience:

Our college placement is good specifically in my course the average placement is 4.5 LPA which is a good amount for a new graduate. We can get placement in our final year. Companies like KPMG, Ananta resource management, and many others. I plan to get an MBA degree in Human Resources management.

Overall experience at college of vocational study is almost good exposure are very good we can learn many more practical things
Very large ground available where we can play number of games

Dislikes

Indeed proper instructor for the college
Bathroom should be clean and in proper condition

Placement is good. Students become eligible for campus placement after the fifth semester a student must be prepared for the Campus placement there are so many big companies who visited our college at Evprayer during the placement date some of the company are Delaware at KPMG etc number of offers made is approximate to 60 Highest packages of the company was last year 23 lack rupees and the lowest placement is 6 lack rupees Sent edge of a strained getting placement in our college is almost 50 to 60% of Today interview appeared in Parliament cell My plan after getting the degree is to do business,

Likes

Really liked the cultural fests, competitions and departmental events.
The faculty is very supportive and interactive

The Course Human Resources Management is really intriguing and insightful. It provides practical learning through theoretical aspects. The faculty members are really supportive and interactive. One of our teachers of Organizational Behavior subject constantly interacts a lot and gives real-life examples to explain concepts more clearly.
