Likes
- Various big companies offering a good package comes to college every year and a good number of student get placements every year.
- A good faculty having a great mentor skills and expertise in different subjects, teachers are helpful and coordinator.
- There are not as many fests as in other colleges but we do have a good number of clubs and societies that makes college life interesting and exciting.
Dislikes
- The annual fest is very nice and happening but the regular college life is close to hell if you are an average student.
- The fines are more in this college and students faces a lot of problems
- The professors are unfriendly and sometimes very rude and not understanding. also i find them pretentious.

- The faculty is very nice, because they are engaged in the curricular activities for the students.
- Food from the canteen is proper and hygiene.
- Beside studies, the college conduct sports, concerts and various activities.
Dislikes
- the syllabus is huge, but it doesn't matter because it gets completed.
- The upper canteen has less food facilities than the main canteen.

Placement Experience:
from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement.
After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

- SXC Kolkata has the best academic calendar as it has taken care that students should get unwinding time too.
- Students have started and incubation centre and have brought in sponsors to fund start-ups.
Dislikes
- College timings are not for lazy people like me as the lectures begin as early as 6 am.
- If one hasn't made it to the college football team, he is not allowed to play on the turf.
- Dress code is also very strict as even on days we are allowed civil uniforms, we still can't wear if it's not traditional.
Placement Experience:
Companies of all domains like the Asian Paints, EY, Nestle and HDFC Bank among all of them come to SXC. Biggest placements so far has been of 20 lakhs or so when one of the student was placedat such a package in 2024.

- College has enough security as everyone inside the campus can feel as secured as they want to.
- College auditorium is the best part of our whole infrastructure as it has been upgraded and it's now of highest standards.
- Students quality is amazing as most of them are the ones who have scored over 90% so one can imagine the kind of intellectualness they must be having.
Dislikes
- Dress code is mandatory and without that entry is denied.
- Since I am in the morning college of SXC our classes starts as early as 6 am daily.

Placement Experience:
At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

- Placements are quality and luckily both morning and evening college gets same opportunity for placements.
- Infrastructure is amazing and has everything inclusive be it a great library or best auditorium.
- Faculties are top level as all of them have secured medals from their respective universities from they come.
Dislikes
- There has to have a hostel as most students are outsiders.
Placement Experience:
Placements wise there's no partiality as both the colleges have combined placements round. Around 400+ B.Com students sit together for placements and around 250 of them were placed in 2024-2025 batch.

- SXC has a library which is bigger than that of Calcutta University.
- Our college also has a bakery and it is best desert centre.
- We also have two auditoriums and guest lectures and events are also held in those auditoriums.
Dislikes
- Since we have all three branches of Science, Commerce and Arts, it is an over crowded campus.
Placement Experience:
EY, PWC, Unacademy, and Deloitte are some of the big names which came last year and has been coming since long. SXC is renowned and placements are great as even B.Com (Hons) have students who have bagged packages worth 20 lakhs or so.

- I liked the campus life, the welcoming faculty, good and hygienic canteen provisions, ambitious and good student crowd that will build ones motivation.
- The beautiful and uildings that add to the legacy and overall a great environment
Dislikes
- Some local students seem to have an unapproachable attitude and they seem to find it easier and more fun to hang out with their local friends that make outstation students feel distant
Placement Experience:
The students from their 3rd year become eligible for campus placement.
Different companies including the Big 4 like Deloitte KPMG etc made offers in 2024-25 and the average package offered in BCOM was 4.5 LPA.
I plan on sitting for the placements after i get my degree, that is if im not pursuing my articleship at the time.

- Ambitious crowd. Highly ambitious, motivating people from all across India comes to study in Xavier's. This provides a perfect ground to network with such people.
- Respect. Being the 6th best college for Commerce across India, just the tag of "Xaverian" brings out a proud feeling and people also seem to value people from Xavier's more.
- Placement and internship opportunities. College provides us with ample of internship opportunities throughout all the years.
Dislikes
- ACs not available for every rooms. Only few of the rooms have air conditioner.
Placement Experience:
Internship opportunities are available for every year student. Placements are provided in the third year. 100+ companies including Big 4, banks, tech companies etc. come with placement offers. Highest package usually cross 25+ LPA and the minimum package provided is 4LPA. Students are placed after various rounds of test. Mostly there are 3 rounds of test- written exam, GD and PI.

- I like the library and IT labs. College has all the necessary amenities nearby. All the utilities ranging from food to transport is very accessible.
- Faculty is great as in qualification as most of them are PHDs. They are helpful and caring unlike most other professors of other colleges.
- There are numerous societies to be a part of like consulting club, placement cell, tedx, hult prize, marketing society etc, which can give you good productive time to spend on.
Dislikes
- Other building infra is not good. Even the lifts are only available for faculty and in most classrooms there are no ACs.
- The teaching methods of the faculty even after great qualifications are very traditional and monotonous. Also, the events happen indoors which is not very well built thus, not very interesting thing to do in college.
- The courses are structured in old fashioned ways even after new studies and techniques. They teach old stuff usually which is not really relevant in todays world.
Placement Experience:
There are quite a handfull of companies coming into our college like DE Shaw, Futures First, WhiteOak Capital, Accenture, Zomato, SDSR consultancy, etc. All students wh do not have any back or arrears and are registered with the placement cell are eligible to sit for placements.
the highest package ranges around 18-20 lpa where as the average package is around 6-8lpa all under finance domain.
I plan to complete the CFA after my degree

- The college has strict rules and regulations and takes all these rules very seriously and follow them any breakage of the rules lead to penalty and punishment for the students.they have a organised way of performing all activities and is thus popular
- The faculty of this college is extremely helpful and knowledgable and understanding.they are always helpful to all students and are ready to stand in their support and help them and give them ideas whenever they need it and this help students success
- The college has various seminar and programmes as well as societies that help the students learn various new and informative things and grow in their career. it helps them build their career and be inspired by others who are successful in their field
Dislikes
- The college is very strict regarding its rules and regulations which somewhere restrict students college life there are various penalty and punishment for students who break these rules so it is somewhat a bigger version of school .
- The college has a high fees as compared to other government college like Delhi University so all the students couldn't afford to study in this college as there fees is 120 k per year which is a lot for many households and thus has high cost
- The college has a small social life which builds pressure on the students a lot as they have to focus on the academic activities and the non academic activities and assignment and other things which give them less time and more pressure to do things

The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons .
Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

- The college has many societies and and provides students opportunities to grow in different subjects
- I didn't like anything other than that in my college
Dislikes
- The attendance criteria is very strict. One has to keep their Attendance above 75% or else they won't be allowed to appear for the semester exam.
- The don't encourage sports at all. The sports head is very rude and doesn't allow anyone to participate in any tournaments. She treats student athletes as her peons and lowly workers. It's hell if you want to study and continue sports over there.
- They put a lot of academic pressure on the students, and the faculty also isn't student Friendly at all.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements after 3rd year. Companies like deloitte, pwc, v guard have come here for recruitment. Average package is 6lpa and the highest package last year was 20lpa. Around 30% students get campus placement. I am a student athlete and I would like to continue with my sport full time after the degree. I just wanted to get a degree from a good college just to add a star to my CV
