Course Curriculum Overview

5

B.Com (Hons) of Calcutta University is tougher than any other universities. So, challenging and tough but at the same time fun as well. Our course also has two practical subjects in each semester and our college provides us exposure too.

Internships Opportunities

5

EY and Banks are regular in providing intenrships to students of SXC. EY pays atleast 20k stipend and some students have been offered two months long intenrships as well. Our college students are first choice students for any company operating in Kolkata.

Placement Experience

5

EY, PWC, Unacademy, and Deloitte are some of the big names which came last year and has been coming since long. SXC is renowned and placements are great as even B.Com (Hons) have students who have bagged packages worth 20 lakhs or so.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am Abhinav Kedia and i took admission here in 2023 and fees then was 29000. From second year it has come down to 27000 per year. In the first year we also paid some deposits of around 8000 and once we are done with the college in 2027, we can redeem that.

Campus Life

5

Our college has one long block and sections are divided. There's one canteena nd cafeteria and bakery as well. Lovely football ground right in the front and college has two entry and exit gates. Xavotsav is our annual fest and is celebrated with participants from over 40 odd colleges.

Admission

With 95 plus percentage my first choice was always SXC. College also provides admission based on 12th marks. Goenka and other colleges were also the option but SXC was my first option and then it was SXC University.

Faculty

5

At SXC Kolkata, faculties of B.Com (Hons) are all Gold Medalist and doctorates as well. So, they are one thing and that is humble and it's their simplicity which is most attractive thing. Exams are tough at Calcutta University and our faculties are part of papers setting committee as they are that goated.

Night Life

5

Park Street has everything and that is where our college is located. College doesn't have its hostel and therefore there many boys and girls pg nearby. We also have bakeries and bars nearby and Urban Tadka is favourite of mine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The specific aspects of the curriculum are the subjects including in this course are related to the industry that will help students to build their career in this competitive world and I choose the course as I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for real world applications as there are subjects like management that helps students to understand things very clearly and apply it in the real world. • The frequency and timing of exams is perfect and my perspective on the difficulty level is that the exams are not at all difficult.
