St. Xavier's- The Dream College

It is proved to be one of the most prestigious college in India. It even holds a greater weight in the eastern region. the quality of students is top notch, the zeal and enthusiasm of every students flys high. It becomes a great source of motivation for each and every one surrounded.

One of the best thing about the campus, or a thing which the students brag about, is the Placement Cell of the college. The placement cell offers various placements with different specilisation, with diversifying its area to the utmost. The quality of placement is stupendous. Areas such as Marketing, Finance, HR, and even to the students who are pursuing professional course such as CA, Actuarires, CFA, CS, and more.

Fees is paid twice in one semester, for instance for 6 semester we pay the fees 12 times. The amount of each fees paid varies from 30,000 to 40,000. The fees for B.Com evening and morning differs, there is a great difference between the amount. The entire fees is sub divided into different sub heads.

The club involvement and the infrastructure proves to be the best quality of St. Xavier's. It has more than 15 clubs, with each clubs offering various inter and intra competitions. The infrastructure of the college is amazing, it has different rooms alloted for different programmes to fucntion and even simultaneously. All such factors makes the college life more interesting and fun. Xavotsav being the the annual fest, which is held in the month of Jnauary, this fest is to die for. Great singers and top DJ Artist are invited to perform for the students, with a number of ohter activities, like the polaroid booth.

Choosing this College, was hands down the best decision for my career aspects. It comes under top 10 universities. As it is located in the heart of Kolkata, that makes it more amazing. Kolkata is truly a City of Joy. Experiencing my College life here in Kolkara, with a Xaverian tag, is a dream of a lot of students. Comparing most of the parameters, Xavier's has always proven to top the list.

The faculty is excellent, with each holding a specialised degree in their respective field. Each member pays a lot og attention on each student and always gives their best to make the concept more easy and simplier. The exam structure is quite simpke. Each subject holds a weight of 100 marks. The final exam is conducted of 80 makrs. The rest 20 marks is gained from 2=3 various parts. The first 5 amrks from attendance, the next 5 from the seminar being conducted. The remaining 10 marks is obtained from the Continuous Internal Assessment held (CIA). CIA is of 40 marks which is narrowed down to 10 marks .

There is nothing of a night- life in college. The hostel campus has a dealine of 9:30 or 10:00. The locality where the hostel is provided, is one of the most happening area for the students to enjoy and have fun.
