Zoology is a great course but I'll suggest that only those students should take up this subject who are actually enthusiastic about this subject. The course includes subjects like physiology, anatomy, non-chordates, chordates, genetics, cell biology etc.

Faculty members are very helpful and supportive. They help you understand things in a really easy and better way. They are available anytime for doubt-solving and are very helpful not only in study-related matters but also in supporting you emotionally.

On average there are 40-50 students each year in mathematics and there are 14 teachers in our department. Which is roughly one teacher per 10 students. Teachers are sweet and helpful in nature. Will help you to understand things better.

The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. The faculty is highly qualified and had a good knowledge of their subjects. You can easily pass exams if you focus sincerely in class. The course structure is also very well planned.

I am doing my bachelor's in the field of life sciences, which includes zoology, botany, and chemistry why I chose this course because it is very vast, and as I was interested in the research field it provides all of this. The faculty is very good, all of them have done Ph.D. in their fields and the teaching method is based on a practical approach.

The faculty is super helpful and nice. Always clears our doubts whenever it arises. And can be approached anytime. The student-to-teacher ratio is 48-50:1 as the seats for the course for maths hons in Gargi College are very limited, so there's only one section. We have a variety of faculty who have worked with foreign professors and who have graduated from DU colleges and some have even graduated from IITs. The exams are held termly and the invigilation is very strict. There's no chance of cheating or any fraudulent methods.
I opted for life science as it provides a broader career scope. Overall faculty is fine. Some teachers are really good and dedicated, while some shirk from work and don't even provide notes. There were total 108 students divided into 2 batches. Practical classes were taken combined by 4 teachers. Semester exams are held timely, and passing the exams are not at all difficult. You just have to prepare past 10 years and you can easily score 8 CGPA atleast. Teachers are very strict for internals and practicals. There is a lot of work load by the end of semester due to practicals, internals, assignments, projects. So it is advised to complete the work on time in order to avoid the last minute chaos.
The physics department has a good number of qualified teachers but I personally think that you have to work a lot on your own, even for basic knowledge and understanding. Labs are fully furnished but there's not some sort of 'learning' happening. It's more like ticking off assignments and files and tasks one after the other. Students end up searching for a way to score in theory as well as practical exams because that's what all can be done rather than an abundance of self-study which is quite impractical too. Exams and assignments are timely organised and are scoring
I would rate Gargi 10/10 in terms of faculty because my all mathematics teachers are so good, humble and understanding. Besides these the teachers i came in contact with are English and Business Economic teachers. And they were gems. Best thing is they are open minded and understand a students mindset and situation.
I was interested in microbes and they benefit industrially so I opted for the course. There are 10 teachers for 90 students with 5-6 lab staff. All teachers are PhD in their respective fields and they teach very well. But some of them uses a PowerPoint presentation to just read which is not a good way. The term exams are held on time for all students of DU according to the curriculum. Exams were not difficult to pass if you listen in the class and go through the syllabus. You can take help from the previous year question papers.
