All About HIMT

Likes

Cleanliness and maintenance are two good factors,,the hostel and campus is really well maintained and cleaned
Classroom facilities are good.Air Conditioned classrooms and interactive boards are provided
Provides medical assistance.Doctors are available at morning and evening timings

Dislikes

Less hours of free time. Time managing is difficult
Limited leaves allowed, if they approve for leave also we need to stay back after semester and we should pay 700 per day which is most difficult
Food sometimes are not properly cooked .

Placement Experience:

College has quite good placements,, the one who cleared all his subjects without getting an arrear will get placed by companies coming and they will have an interview section also.The one who performs will get placed,,anyway they are providing placements like almost 85 to 95% students are getting placed

Likes

There are different messes for veg and non veg
Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus

Dislikes

The teachers faculty is not that appreciable.
There is no proper dress code other than classes time
Quality of grounds should be improved ,So that it helps students

The placement ratio is very good in my college. I am pretty confident that I would get placement if not After passing out from this university I write some company exams ,clear the exam and attend company interview and get placement in those companies 80% students get placed

Indian Maritime University Chennai pros and cons

Likes

Very . nice and friendly staff who always care for you
Facilities are really good . Like swimming and ground facilities.
Seniors are really good they are always to grow us.

Dislikes

The class duration is very lengthy it should be upto 2 only.
Food facilities should be improved and hygiene.
For some people it is difficult to fit to the routine

The course is very promising to placements. It includes swinning games and alround development of self.the course only includes subjects that help in working on board. Exams are conducted term wise and its ok for everyone.

Location : The college location is convenient,providing easy access

Dislikes

Limited or unsatisfactory dining options on campus
Limited social opportunities or lack of vibrant campus culture and activities
Challenges with communication from the administration regarding important updates,events and policy changes

This is one of the best campus that provides placement in many of the best shipping companis all over the world.The placement related procedures start from the 3rd semenster onwards.There is a placement record above 96% every year in this college.

Students come from different states you'll get better exposure
Faculties are very good, supportive and experienced
College provides greater placement opportunities

Dislikes

Lack of cultural activities and programmes
Lack of holidays during festivals or on week days
Being the oldest marine college in india it's infrastructure is outdated

College has strong alumni base and have a great placement record. Generally placements starts from the start from 4th semester. About 15-20 companies are regularly visiting the college for the placements. The college has 90% of placement record.

The faculties are ok. There is ground for football and cricket is played there itself. Volleyball has a seperate section. Basketball court is also there

Dislikes

Hostel food is not upto the mark. No canteen inside campus
Areas surrounding hostel lacks cleanliness

Placement Experience:

Placements are moderate. Companies like Synergy, MSI, Fleet etc come for campus selection.Even after the completion of course we can apply to different exams conducted by different companies and attend their interviews but getting campus placement is the best way.

T.S Chanakya the untold story

Likes

The training institute is the most renowned institution for merchant Navy in India .It has ample space for cadets living in . Basketball, cricket, football, table tennis are few of the games played here .It has Olympic size swimming pool too.
It has always given great figures when comes to placement.In my batch 2017-20 there was 100% placement .companies like Fleet management , synergy , NYK, MOL, PIL, THOME , BSM, Anglo eastern were top companies came for placement.
Placement in current situation has improved even more , cadets are being placed even in 2nd years . Companies like Maersk has started visiting it as far as I heard .You can really got for BSC in nautical science .

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

Placement is excellent for BSC cadets .In my time it was 100% .As per best of my knowledge the placement has improved even more taking cadets in 2nd year itself .so if you are getting bsc , go without any doubt .For DNS sadly Inmy time sadly placement was bad , don't have idea about current scenario

Well experienced faculties and good study materials provided.
Awesome infrastructure and classes have Air conditioners.
Excellent placements from different companies like MOL, Eastaway shipping, MOLTA, Dynacom and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took this course because to become a sailor was my childhood passion. The course teaches all the aspects and rules to be followed while working as a sailor. The teaching methods are excellent and considers every single students.

Likes

The college is having a good placement record other than other colleges 75% placement assurance is there for a batch
The faculties here in college are well trained and having experience on board

Dislikes

Parking Facilities are not good Enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is pretty good it covers almost all the aspects of learning there are both practical and theoretical exams which will help you get knowledge about this field. The sem exams are conducted on an interval of 6 months and the exam are not so hard.
