The training institute is the most renowned institution for merchant Navy in India .It has ample space for cadets living in . Basketball, cricket, football, table tennis are few of the games played here .It has Olympic size swimming pool too.
It has always given great figures when comes to placement.In my batch 2017-20 there was 100% placement .companies like Fleet management , synergy , NYK, MOL, PIL, THOME , BSM, Anglo eastern were top companies came for placement.
Placement in current situation has improved even more , cadets are being placed even in 2nd years . Companies like Maersk has started visiting it as far as I heard .You can really got for BSC in nautical science .

You can alot apart from studies .you have facilities for basketball, crickets , football , table tennis, swimming .there is a gymnasium in case you are really not getting exhausted after playing all the games .

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 225000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is excellent for BSC cadets .In my time it was 100% .As per best of my knowledge the placement has improved even more taking cadets in 2nd year itself .so if you are getting bsc , go without any doubt .For DNS sadly Inmy time sadly placement was bad , don't have idea about current scenario

Fees and Financial Aid

There are total six semesters .Ofd semester frees is 1,00,000 and even semester fees is 1,25,000.so in total you will pay around 6.75 lakhs which will cover your hostel fees , uniform , books , notebook e.t.c.

Campus Life

Campus was life full.cadets running all through the days .classes were good l.we had a library.we had football ground, baskets ball court , table tennis, swimming pool and lawn tennis. Overall facilities are good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good .two cadets are accomdated in each room .mass is quite good if compared to other institution. u may feel like paying so less fir things being provided here . Food quality is. average.

Admission

U can get admission through IMU CET exams .You get admission of you have good ranking there . syllabus for exam is just basic ncert book .it's really exam to do well in IMU CET if one has studied in his +2 well .

Faculty

It has some of the best faculties in the industry with alot of experience .Class teacher ration Is quite good and every student gets the chance to interact with their teachers .we had simulator classes too to get best near like scenario for better training .

like i was sure that i want a course that will give me experince about AIML with subjects like 3D design + Coding + Envoirmental studeis and all. and the course from the sandip actually have all these subjects in a single course thats why i choose this course. curriculam was good it was updated on time. the course helps me to land a internship with goverment cause i learn the basics of AI from this course. the ares of improvements should be the faculty members like they are horrible sometimes they dont even make the notes for the subjects they ask students to make notes and shared with other students. even one of the faculty member shared a playlist form youtube for a specific subject and ask us to take notes from it and prepare for exam not a single leccture he takes at that time. the frequency of the exam is also not that good cause the want us to prepare for the final semster exam which is of 6 months in just 3 months with all the paper works , projects , assignments etc etc.

The course curriculum is very good. The syllabus of the course of relevant and also helps in preparing different entrance exams for masters. Also course offers wide variety of subjects so students can have exposure to different opportunities in the field. There are also field study visits so students can get their real world experience and exposure. The external exams are a little bit hectic as the take it into a streak. There is no gaps between the exams so it is a little hectic. Also some proffessors should provide study materials to students so it will be helpful .

My honest opinion on my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I thought that zoology is most interesting to learn and its have future job opportunity. So basically zoo student are like little dr or zoologist. It provides little bit of that syllabus while learning you feel like you are dr or expert in zoology which example we experience in our day to day life. They need to add more teachers and placement opportunity. After every one and half month there is exam.

For admission in IMU, one must have 10+2 with having atleast 60% in pcm and atleast 50 % in english. The application forms of IMUCET are released in may- june, application fees is 1000 rupees. SC/ST and OBC enjoys the benefits of reservation and are even relaxed with age limit. Entrance exam was not held on 2020 and 2021 and the admissions were based on intermediate and pcm percentage. The placement is good here, in the last batch 80% were placed from campus but all cadets were able to find job from outside also....Read More

T.S. Chanakya IMU NAVI MUMBAI a college best for for B.Sc Nautical Science

I have applied for Tolani Maritime University along with the Indian Maritime University. I have cleared both of the exams. The reason I don't opt for TMI(Tolani Maritime University) as it has too many fees for the BSc Nautical Science program. The reason I opt for Indian Maritime University is that the university is a government University and fees are also reasonable for the program and placements are good. You have to fill the IMU-CET exam for entrance. The admission criteria for the IMU (Indian Maritime University) is that you have to Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from recognized universities and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree....Read More
