Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum was more straight forward to what is needed and no extra things and you could opt for some other courses / subjects for some subject from different departments if you think the current won't benefit you that much as compared to the other you gonna choose.

Placement Experience

4

I think 5th sem is where students start getting placements or internships. I don't know much about the placements as it's my first year and my colleges started just a month ago. My plans aren't straight forward as I come from a business background I can't predict what would I be doing but I want to have a career in operating system development .

Fees and Financial Aid

1st: 1,25,000 2nd: 1,30,000 3rd: 1,35,000 4th: 1,45,000 (4th year is optional)(Hons.) Just the admission fees is there of 1500 other than that I haven't paid any extra fee to them. The fee is same for every student. No reservations or merit. You could directly apply for admission. There are no scholarships and the entrance is not based on merit or reservation. You can directly apply for it.

Campus Life

4

There are many events held on the campus where we can collab with students from different departments / faculties and participate. There is a student council which manages these events. The classroom are as per expectations as every classroom is equipped with projectors and proper furnishings like benches but some classrooms lack finishing like the paint is coming off. The library is good well quipped. And there are extra curricular activities like football, basketball, cricket but it depends on you if you want to take part or not.

Admission

I just applied for Nowrosjee Wadia but they are busy with their reservations and merit based admissions. As I am from general they won't give me admission but they would to a student from lower category and having lower percentage or grades as they have special reservations. I applied there because it was nearer to my home but my bad luck. Though after getting admission at VU I compared the curriculum and came to conclusions that VU's curriculum is more suitable for me. Jo hota hai achhe ke liye hota hai

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are friendly, but it depends whom and how you have the first impression of the teacher. Some people can take them in positive way while some can take it as negative. I think her name is Pooja ma'am, she teaches us PSP, I liked her way of teaching as to me personally she is the third teacher since my childhood who's way of teaching I could understand and other than that Rajkumar sir, he is like a very calm minded and friendly guy (being informal). I liked but my friend didn't as I've said the way you take and how the first impression was my friend had a different kid of experience from our business etiquette teacher, he thinks she is arrogant but I don't.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
