Also, to ensure everyone's safety, each hostel has CCTV cameras all over the campus. Seats here are allotted on a first-come-first-served basis. Also, all hostels are well-resourced with facilities like spacious rooms with attached washrooms, beds, study tables, separate cupboards, air cooler or AC as needed, 24*7 power and internet connectivity, mess, recreational space, etc.
- Sandipani Hostel: This boys hostel has 230 Triple Sharing and Double Sharing (only for NRIs) rooms in total. The building is spread over an area of 1,53,000 sq.ft across 11 floors. 600+ students can be accommodated here at a time.
- Maitreyi Hostel: This hostel has a total of 130 Triple Sharing and Double Sharing (only for NRIs) rooms and an intake capacity of 373 girls. The building has 5 floors and is spread over an area of 94,000 sq.ft.
- Polytechnic Hostel: This hostel is both girls and boys and has a total of 6 floors and 71 rooms. All rooms can accommodate 4 students at a time. Here, the first 2 floors are dedicated for girls and the rest 4 floors are for boys.
- Ashtavakra Hostel: This hostel has 12 floors in total and is spread over a huge area of 216994.71 sq.ft. The hostel has an intake capacity of 712 boys and girls on Twin sharing, triple sharing basis and Dormitory.
Sports and Performing Arts: To keep students physically fit and mentally healthy, University has developed big playgrounds and enough arrangements inside college's. And students have a plethora of indoor and outdoor sports activities ranging from Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Futsal, Handball, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Powerlifting, Skating, Tennis, Squash, Taekwondo and Volleyball etc. to play, enjoy and rejuvenate themselves. Tracks have been made for Athletics as well.

I didn't had any particular reason for applying to this college, it's mostly by word of mouth experience. With my course being super expensive in recent days, my college was a good option to apply to for the quality of education compared to the fees.
Likes
- I would say that my college experience was really good because college provides a friendly environment and the crowd is good too
- As education becomes the main factor somaiya never lagged over there. It means the efforts and teaching method are really great
Dislikes
- College needs to focus on providing good study materials.we never got books we always used to get notes on Google classroom which makes it difficult to study during exams
- Faculty is good but actions are taken a bit slowly
Admission:
I chose this college because of the level of education they provide and for the great opportunities that you get after your course completion No I was not rejected from any other college but comparatively my marks were a bit less than the usual so I had to go for bcom hons after 12th you don't need to give any entrance exam for admission it's your 12th percentage that matters

- Management was really good,got to know good things
- overall 2 year of expierience was good , got to learn new things in this 2 years and also got some new friends and good compania

- little time issue was been faced in terms of visiting faculty
- low budget in terms of events carried ot during the Acadamics

admission process is really very smooth as it is an autonomos college also we could et in touch with people on call or emails via website of the colleges i did not apply elsewhere as this was the only w=college holding thi particular course and also provide placementes and internship opprtunity in good companies

- Infrastructure is really good each classroom consists of two air conditioners and projector is available too.
- They provide with subject called minor for specialisation and it’s up to us to choose which ever minor we want for example marketing, finance, accounts etc
Dislikes
- Being a private college they consider internal and external of each subject so it becomes difficult to study both and it becomes excess of work.
- So member of the faculty are little rude and don’t treat you properly.
Admission:
So I choose this college over other college is because every other college having bba or bbm they had their own entrance for that and there one just one college all over Mumbai which took admission based on the hcs percentage. I applied for amity and dy patil and was selected by both. But choose somaiya as it is some what relevant to Mumbai university.
Likes
- emphasis on sports is given. Compulsory sports credit subject is there. Every sport is there including squash and TT and trails happens for this courses to join the team.
- committees and clubs are also there for students to join..this leads to overall growth along with academics
Dislikes
- gender ratio is not good in any of the class
- hostels are not at par with the fees they take.
Admission:
applied for XIMb and chose not to join it because of its toxic hostel life. It's infamous for the bullying and ragging stories of the hostel.. Hostel life here in KJSIM is quite healthy and chill. Everyone is inclusive and from different culture. Also the city og mumbai was the major factor for joining this college. Admission process consisted of clearing the cut off set by the college and after that WAT and Group discussion and Personal interview. Based on cumulative score of this we are selected

- I loved the library of our college. So peaceful while reading
- I loved the sports department that is eklavya

- I dislike the most of the students behaviour
- I dislike the CF of our college where they are making students to wait back for so long even after the college

I did apply for Xavier's and I got admitted over there but I had already applied in somaiya and the faculty said I couldn't cancel the admission from Somaiya so I couldn't get into Xavier's but how overall Somaiya is the best.
Likes
- The campus and all the sports facilities.
- The library is really nice and has ac and even computers/pc where student can study or browse. In our building we even have an open library so there are various books to choose from.
Dislikes
- Lack of communication and transparency in the admission process.
- Limited opportunities for student who want to do community service or social service.
Admission:
I applied for mithibai and for datta meghe nagpur. Yes I got confimed admission from datta meghe but as it was far from mumbai and my house I chose Somaiya. Yes i git rejected from Mithibai as the cutoff was really high there and was only based on the 12th board marks. The admission process is simple u have to register fill out your details and pay the registration fees of 500Rs. Then u have to give the entrance exam which is called SVUET and the admission is based on the merit in that exam.

- The best thing in this college is it's large campus which is neat and clean all the time.
- Other good thing is updated syllabus. They have industry ready subjects to study
Dislikes
- Examination cell of this college is worst. No proper planning. No timing for exams or for any important work. They do whatever they want to . They give the results very late. And have very complex structure in system. And very rude exam cell head.
- Infrastructure is like 40 50 years old. They should really work on it
Admission:
I have given jee exam but score wasn't enough to get in any govt college so after reviewing many colleges i found this one as the better choice as the reputation of this college used to be good in old times not now though. For admission in this college applicants can fill thie application form on the college offical website where they asks for 12th result which is minimum 45% criteria and jee , sat , mht cet and other engineering exams score card.

I had Kelkar college on my mind I got confirmed admission in it I didn't get rejected got an early admission in somaiya Admission college for somaiya is that you take your marksheet with you and fill the form online on somaiya and take print of your your somaiya online admission form and 10 12 marksheet and any reservations proof

Admission:
I opted for this college because of the curriculum they offer and the subjects they choose they are upto date. Also they give equal importance to the extra curricular activities which help us focus on many things

Yes, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai offer the PhD in Mathematics course. The candidates must have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent as per UGC regulation.
Fees:
The per year fee of Somaiya Vidyavihar University Bachelor of Computer Applications is INR One lac seventy five thousand. The total fee of the course is INR Four lac seventy five thousand.
The first year fee of B.Com. course in Somaiya Vidyavihar University is INR One lac twenty five thousand. The second and third year fees are also the same as the first year.
As of now, there is no reservation based scholarship opportunities but its only offered based on special categories and based on financial background.
You need to appear for National eligibility entrance test and have to pass it with valid scores for taking admission to the course.
Admission to SVU Mumbai is not done based on NEET but rather done based on PGP-CET.
You need to spend 3 years or more on your thesis and get it approved by the registered committee and your supervisor. Or, you can check out the page SVU Mumbai PhD course.
Unfortunately, SVU Mumbai doesn’t offer MPT course to the students.
Candidates applying for admission in this program must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std XII) OR its equivalent in any stream from any board of any State, with English and Mathematics as one of the subjects.
