- S.K. Somaiya College offers a wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities, allowing students to explore various fields of interest.
- The college provides a dynamic and engaging campus environment. With events like cultural festivals, seminars, and workshops, students can enhance their skills outside the classroom.
Dislikes
- the college offers many amenities, there is room for improvement in certain areas like sports facilities, hostels, and parking spaces.
- Although the college has a placement cell, some students feel that the opportunities provided are not as diverse or abundant as expected.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum activities are good and have wide range of varaites best opportunities but students need to participate in it and give their best and their should be young professionals for the investment subject who can give right knowledge to students

- Smart Classrooms with all equipments for comfort
- Teaching style and the variety of subjects they provide
Dislikes
- Late notices regarding exam timetable, etc
- Most of the notes are provided online which is not very convenient
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course curriculum is well planned and detailed, It includes everything from A to Z regarding business studies, the curriculum is well planned out with different subjects over each semester which is beneficial for the students.
Likes
- I would say that my college experience was really good because college provides a friendly environment and the crowd is good too
- As education becomes the main factor somaiya never lagged over there. It means the efforts and teaching method are really great
Dislikes
- College needs to focus on providing good study materials.we never got books we always used to get notes on Google classroom which makes it difficult to study during exams
- Faculty is good but actions are taken a bit slowly
Course Curriculum Overview:
The education of course is really great and diversified because it gives you great knowledge of almost everything it is not focused on one specific thing for eg not just finance but it focuses on both finance and marketing you also have subjects like taxation, law, ethics, It etc Every year first you have internal exams and after 2 months of internal exam you have your external exams For example your education year starts in April so you have your internals in August/September and your externals in October/november after that jan end internals and march externals

- Management was really good,got to know good things
- overall 2 year of expierience was good , got to learn new things in this 2 years and also got some new friends and good compania
Dislikes
- little time issue was been faced in terms of visiting faculty
- low budget in terms of events carried ot during the Acadamics
Placement Experience:
We had to struggle little in terms of college placements as this was the new cource with a big boom in nutraceutical indutry in the market after the lockdown period so there are lots of startups which in this field which is prefering expiernece prson in science field but i belive nutracutical is a course where student can persuie carrer in the gold field

- Infrastructure is really good each classroom consists of two air conditioners and projector is available too.
- They provide with subject called minor for specialisation and it’s up to us to choose which ever minor we want for example marketing, finance, accounts etc
Dislikes
- Being a private college they consider internal and external of each subject so it becomes difficult to study both and it becomes excess of work.
- So member of the faculty are little rude and don’t treat you properly.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is all about business theory they should focus more case studies and real life problem solving. The subjects are all about business eg: Accounts used, Law, management, financial market etc I was influenced to choose as they provide insights of entire business in detail. They do make you real life prepare but not completely as it focused more of theory.
Likes
- emphasis on sports is given. Compulsory sports credit subject is there. Every sport is there including squash and TT and trails happens for this courses to join the team.
- committees and clubs are also there for students to join..this leads to overall growth along with academics
Dislikes
- gender ratio is not good in any of the class
- hostels are not at par with the fees they take.
Placement Experience:
during 3rd semester students ar eligible for the campus placements. There are a lot of companies visiting this college for final placements. Average placement offered is around 12 Lakhs and highest is around 24 Lakhs. Almost 100% of the students are placed
Likes
- I loved the library of our college. So peaceful while reading
- I loved the sports department that is eklavya
Dislikes
- I dislike the most of the students behaviour
- I dislike the CF of our college where they are making students to wait back for so long even after the college
Course Curriculum Overview:
My minor is literature and my major is philosophy. I took philosophy because I want to perceive law in my career and I get so much insights about the law through philosophy and even from the literature course.
Likes
- The campus and all the sports facilities.
- The library is really nice and has ac and even computers/pc where student can study or browse. In our building we even have an open library so there are various books to choose from.
Dislikes
- Lack of communication and transparency in the admission process.
- Limited opportunities for student who want to do community service or social service.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Aspects like certificate language course and the proffesional communication skills are one of the highlights. The curriculum prepares you really well it just need the right faculty to be useful and be of better understanding for the students. There is an extra subject like minor or constitution and public policy which really is just a waste of time for studies. And more fun teaching methods can be adopted rather than always sticking to the textbook. frequency of the exams is one exam of 20 marks in the middle of the semester and one at the end of the semester for 60 marks.

- The best thing in this college is it's large campus which is neat and clean all the time.
- Other good thing is updated syllabus. They have industry ready subjects to study
Dislikes
- Examination cell of this college is worst. No proper planning. No timing for exams or for any important work. They do whatever they want to . They give the results very late. And have very complex structure in system. And very rude exam cell head.
- Infrastructure is like 40 50 years old. They should really work on it
Placement Experience:
After 6th sem mostly students can sit in the placements and they shouldn't have any backlogs for it.many companies visited but the number is decreasing i guess every year. Good companies like jp morgan and Deloitte and other has visited here. Highest package in the college for last year was about 58 lakhs annually but it was a dubai based company. In domestic highest was nearly 25 lakhs. Average for computer engineering and it branche might be nearly 11 to 13 lakhs

- Some of the teaching faculty are way too amazing
- I had an amazing experience in the college
Dislikes
- Timing of the college is a bit odd for late wakersb

Faculty of the college influenced my decision for choosing the specialisation as accounting faculty are amazing and exporting too and marketing too The curriculum prepares you very well to prepare for your exam Faculty can change the class timing Difficulty is moderate
