K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering is a constituent college of the prestigious Somaiya Vidyavihar University (UGC approved) and was established in 1983. For B.Tech and M.Tech: Candidates need to visit the official website of the college and submit the online application - https://admissions.somaiya.edu/
- There will be seven phases for B.Tech admission and three phases for M.Tech admission.
- Fill in the details correctly
- Pay the Application Form Fee of INR 2000/- (non-refundable).
Note(s): Candidates can apply for all the phases in the same application form by selecting appropriate options provided that the candidate is eligible for the respective phase.

Other colleges were DJ Sanghvi and SPIT Those colleges had higher cutoff than expected. Admission process of KJSIT is structured and according to merit. There is a minority quota of 51 percent seats for gujarati linguistic category students.

i had applied in vidyalankar and sabo siddque. i got accepted i sabo siddue but i choose somaiya college because campus and placment are excellent in somaiya. i got rejected from vidyalankar college due to insufficient aggregate in diploma the admission process for it course is easy just apply for course at somiaya website and the course will be alloted based on merit of exam you have given

- Clinical exposure is pretty decent and they do focus on practical knowledge and clinical approach.
- Placement opportunities are great here since it's a popular college maybe and the placement is decent.
Dislikes
- Holistic development is just a word for the college. They really don't focus on the overall exposure and experience of an individual.
- They won't even pay a penny for any cultural event or visits . They are actually very careless about spending the hefty money charged wisely.

The college had a better placement opportunity and better post-course aids to get an opportunity to work in abroad countries. They also have decent cilinical exposure and academic help arrangements. The college is also having hostel facility and various other things that made me join the college. But I mostly regret joining the college. I swear .

I chose KJ Somaiya cause of the opportunities of holistic development, included but not limited to sports and live projects. The faculty and the campus are also great add ons. Somaiya has a huge campus almost in the heart of the city.

- This college motivates students to take part in various extra curricular activities which pushes them to develop their personality by socialising. It also helps building leadership skills in them.
- The faculties of this college provide personalised notes to the students to help them study better.
Dislikes
- This is a well known University, due to which large amount of students takes admissions resulting into difficulty to give individual attention.
- The faculties as well as staff of Somaiya University is not as helpful with students as they should be, this leads to unnecessary confusion among students.

K J Somaiya College of Engineering offers various scholarships to deserving candidates. The scholarships are provided in the form of tuition waivers and a candidate can avail of only one scholarship. The scholarship provided to the students shall be based on the documents provided to the college and any discrepancy in documents will lead to forfeiture of the scholarship. K J Somiaya College of Engineering Special Scholarship
The college has recently launched a special scholarship for B.Tech Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering & Mechanical Engineering students. It is a merit-based scholarship in the range of INR 1 Lakhs to INR 2 Lakhs per year. The following parameters will be considered for selecting the candidate under this scholarship:
- Academic Performance: The candidate must have scored a minimum of 75% marks in Class X and at least 65% marks in Class XII to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Performance in Entrance Examination: The table below shows the cutoff criteria based on which admission is sought to the college:

To raise funds in support of needy students, some employees of KJSCE came together to establish an organization, “PUSH” (People United for Students’ Help). Funds are collected annually from employees, students, alumni and well-wishers. This scholarship is offered to a student from the second year or the final year, except those admitted Directly to the Second Year, from any of the following departments: Department of Computer Engineering/Department of Electronics Engineering/Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/Department of Mechanical Engineering/Department of Information Technology.

KJ Somaiya does not follow a relative grading system.
Before answering your question let's discuss how to calculate the grade of a particular subject. Every subject has its own credits which are preassigned (1,2,3 etc.). For example

- If you scored 90 in math 1, then you'll get a 10 grade point ( anything above 85 gives you 10 grade points).
- The next step is to multiply the grade point and credits (ie. 10*4=40).
- Next add up the results for all the subjects.
- Calculation of CGPA= Added result of all subjects/maximum possible grade point*credit total.
So we can say that securing a 9+ pointer is fairly easy in the First Year at KJ Somaiya. All you need is an average of around 80-85% in semesters and you'll be above the 9-pointer mark.
