KJSIT: A Student Perspective

First year teaching staff is experienced and friendly.
Campus has almost all facilities necessary.

Dislikes

Despite being autonomous college they don't have updated syllabus. They follow Mumbai University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So I am in the domain of artificial intelligence and data science, I chose this curriculum as it covers all round aspects of computer science as well as has advanced topics of ai that are beneficial in the coming future. The curriculum is well designed to prepare you for real-world applications but I would say you have to take extra efforts apart from the curriculum to succeed in this competitive world. The teaching methods adopted can be more application-based than the theoretical teaching methods. The college being autonomous has adopted it's own way of examinations. In one semester we have 2 term test exams (in-sem) and one end-semester exam at the end. The first term test is conducted after 30-40% of syllabus completion and the second term test is just before final submissions. The difficulty of the examination is average (medium) not that hard and not that easy.

College has huge campus which has cricket and football ground

In the terns of relevance and comprehensivenesss the course is absolutely amazing it is a course where we can learn software and hardware both, in other other words eacg semesters has its won value followed by the subjects the subjects in this feld are innovating and hence the excitement of learnung increases

The sports culture is one of the best in KJ Somaiya.
Extra Cirricular Actitives provides huge atmosphere.

Dislikes

College timing keeps varing which is not suitable for everyone.
Tons of loads of assignment and experiments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electronics and telecommunication is one of the best course. As in KJ Somaiya one every domain is equally taught irrespective of your course, i have learnt computer sciences technology with the embedded systems.

I like the easy process to get admission in the college without any hectic process.

My dream is to be a software developer, for that I took computer engineering as my choice. Here faculties are highly qualified, some are PhD graduate and some are IIT graduate. Their teaching skills are very good. There are 2 semester exam in each year.

The college has a lot of parking space for both students as well as teachers, thanks to the huge campus.
The focus on project based learning helps to improve student knowledge.

Dislikes

The college has no AC's and gets too hot by afternoon.

Every class has approximately 70 students. The dedicated faculty members at KJ Somaiya Institute of Technology bring valuable knowledge and experience to the table. The curriculum is at par with other engineering colleges in Mumbai.

I was technically inclined to IoT and technology since the 12th grade and wanted to enhance my previously known skills of the same. The student Ratio is 1:20 during labs and 1:60 during lectures. Faculty Qualification is The IT department has PhD-level professors and is very friendly, supportive, and helpful. Exam schedules and annual schedules are released each academic year, with the schedule followed as stated. Very punctual exam conduction and results declaration.
